My xperia m2 keeps saying connected to pc when connected to my tv trying to view photos

If you're connecting to your TV via a USB cable, then your phone can't differentiate between a TV usb connection and a PC usb connection.

Either way, when you connect it, it's basically just hosting its files to whichever device you're connecting it to.

Is your TV a smart TV? If so, there should be some way to access files on your phone, via the menu screen of the TV.

Good luck!

Problem connecting Nokia 200 to PC

this is all i could find out about this problem.
Problem:
When a Nokia phone is connected to a computer through a USB connection, 'please wait' message is shown in the phone screen followed by 'no response from host' message. Further, the computer might show a notification around the taskbar area that the USB device is not recognized.
Solution:
  1. First check if the required drivers for the Nokia phone are correctly installed on your computer.
  2. If required, update current version of your Nokia PC suite to the latest version.
If the above steps do not work then follow these steps:
  1. Switch off your phone.
  2. Remove the back cover of your phone.
  3. Remove your phone's battery.
  4. If your phone has a memory card, also remove it.
  5. Wait for few seconds. If you see any dust sticking around the battery or memory card, wipe it clean. Be careful while cleaning the memory card. Hard contacts may result data loss.
  6. Place the battery and memory card back in their places.
  7. Put back the cover.
  8. Switch on your phone.
  9. Try connecting your phone to a computer again. (Your phone should connect successfully this time)...

I have a 4420 falcon and it works only when the usb cable is connected to te computer in other words, the internet doesn't function when i disconnect it from the stand that has the cable connected to it....

Hi,
I presume the PC you connect to has an internet connection. If so this is normal behaviour. When you connect to a PC via a USB cable and ActiveSync the connection is given an IP address via the host PC. If under the ActiveSync settings you are allowing the connected device to use the host PC's internet connection then the 4420 has access to the internet. simpuls.

To get a connection to the internet you would require a different connection, i.e. wireless.

You would also need a wireless access point or wireless router. Set the SSID and encryption on the wireless device and match it on the 4420.

Hope this helps.

My Panasonic CF-74 doesn't seem to be detecting anything I am plugging into the USB ports or the COM port.

Some motherboard BIOS's allow you to specify how many USB ports you want enabled
go to your Control Panel, System, Device Manager.

go down to where it says Universal Serial Bus Controllers, click the + sign,
you will see a list of devices, probably something like this
via rev5 usb host controller
via rev5 usb host controller
usb printing support
usb mass storage controller
usb root hub
usb root hub

right click on the ones that say via or intel or SIS, or ALI, or Standard open host controller, and choose uninstall.

you will be asked if your sure, and you will see some of the USB root hubs disappear.

If you are asked to restart, choose no, and remove the other via/sis/intel/etc open host controller (s) from your system, when they have all been removed restart your computer.

when the computer restarts, it will detect the USB controller and connected devices, reinstall the drivers/software

VIA needs to stop making USB chipsets... lol... Are you sure you have USB legacy support enabled? Moreover, the default Windows XP drivers are not error free when used with a VIA Rev 5 USB Host Controller because it's actually a VIA Enhanced Host Controller. Every time I have USB problems with the VIA Enhanced Host Controller I go to there website, download the driver, and it usually fixes the problem.

USB 2.0 (VT6202, VT6212, VT6214/L)

Moreover, I have plugged in a Microsoft Wireless Optical Mouse and Windows XP could not detect it until I installed Microsoft Intellipoint; if you can believe that. Try also installing the mouse drivers as well...
