We replaced the Cmos-battery and since that time our fiery does not boot any longer. Lilo loading starts, the green HD LED is flickering for 2 to 3 minutes and then booting stops. "Please wait" is the only display message we see.
We own the original software but can not see a way to reinstall ist.
Please. If you have the original software, we need your help. We've been trying for months without success to locate it. We purchased the copier/printer for our office from a liquidator. However, we have been unable to use it as a printer, due to the passwords that were left on it. The liquidator provided no additional information. We know that an external SCSI CD-Drive is needed to reinstall it. From what we've been told, it has to be connected to the dongle on the scsi port. Start the copier with the CD Software in the drive, and it will reinstall the Fiery Controller in about 20 minutes or so. Problem is, we don't have the software. If we could obtain ISO's of the CD's, we could finally setup our Ricoh and be able to print to it. Please contact me or add me to your live msn messenger contact list (ehandler3@hotmail.com). You can transfer the iso files directly to me.
Been a while since I have seen one of these. But if you have the system software it needs to reinstalled. You need a stand alone cd drive and a scsi cable( I think ).
