Just purchased a Samsung PL210 camera but it doesn't come with an instruction booklet regarding how to use different modes. Why not?

Hi, Samsung includes a disk that has the instruction manual on it instead of a paper one in order to save on paper. If you've lost the disk here's a link to the instruction manual online:

the settings of your camera might be set to NEGATIVE MODE

you can check this by pressing the E button (effects) then go to COLOR pick NOR (for normal)

or you can just reset the settings press MENU > SET UP 2 then RESET > YES

Blurry video recording

Since the camcorder returns to the auto shutter setting and the auto exposure setting when it's switched into Night Capture mode, I would say that might be your problem.  Change your shutter and exposure settings. To do this, switch to Camera mode, turn the menu dial to the setting you wish to change then press enter.  You may have to play with the settings until you get the desired picture. Remember, faster shutter speeds for faster action (stop action), and longer exposure settings for darker situations. Let me know if you need more help.

Go to for the complete manual on this camera. Push the Menu button (middle button on the lower part of the camera) and go over to settings and change the time and date. To operatee the timer, while in camera mode, push the right button on the lower portion of the camera and this lets you use the timer mode (again you can look in the manuel for further instructions.)
