Checked for a plugged breather, also, if gas is in the oil, rebuild the carb and fuel pump if there is one.

Air cleaner blowing oil

Hi Anonymous, oil leaking from your air cleaner is caused by oil carryover from the engine. For what ever reason the breather system is not seperating enough oil mist and air from the piston downstroke. There are cheap and quick easy fixes and there are more exspensive ones. Start by trying the following:
1. Run your oil level half way between the add and full mark when hot.
2. Run oil breather lines from head into a TEE fitting below carb/induction module then a single line into a mini filter under frame.
3. Purchase Arlen Ness Super Sucker.
4. Replace umbrella valves and realign oil pump
5. Upgrade oil pump and cam plate
Good luck

I have fresh gas and sparkplug. Machine started to die under heavier loads. I now have to run it at the slowest speed to get the job done. That is when I changed the spark plug but it did not run any...

Check the air cleaner first before making any carb adjustments. If under load it isn't getting enough air it will choke down. If the mower is low on oil it will die under load to protect itself from blowing up. Remove the air cleaner and look in the carb to see if the choke is opening and closing properly when you operate the cable. There is a linkage that often vibrates loose and it may not be connected.
As you an see there are multiple things that can be causing this problem. Try one at a time to see if you can get it to run properly.

Hi, my ford 2000 gas wont run without choke. Was fine this morning, now wont run, any ideas? It seems to be getting fuel to carb, but it has some weird fuel pump beside a sediment bowl, could this be a...

If it won't run without choke, then it's not getting enough fuel. You probably either have a clogged jet in the carb, or you have an air leak somewhere that's allowing air to dilute the air/fuel mixture.

Unless a gasket suddenly died, fell apart, and left a gaping hole, a sudden failure like that is probably a clogged jet.

I'd clean out the bowl on the carb and hose the jets out really good with carb cleaner. If you have it, hit the jets up with some compressed air, too. While you're in there, make sure the float isn't sticking and the fuel flow is good.

Sounds like when it ran out of fuel it sucked up some dirt at the bottom of the tank.you will have too take carb off and clean it out and make sure float is not stuck.I hope this helps.

Bike has been standing for 18 months without the engine being spun. Bike will not start without choke. when choke is off engine stalls

You need to completely drain and refill the gas - the gas you have is stale and doesn't have enough power to run the bike.
The battery needs to be fully charged - not just jump started. It wouldn't hurt to do an oil and filter change as well as a air filter and plug change.

Bike wont run when choke is at half way setting

Sounds a lot like fouled fuel jets in your carb; you may have a little work to do.
If the jets do not allow sufficient fuel to pass, using the choke can 'cheat' the carburetor by restricting the flow of air and restoring the fuel-air ratio. You can't ignore this problem since the 'cheated' condition does not let the engine develop the power for which it was designed.

Coleman Powermate 6250 only runs with choke closed/air restricted

A call to Elliott Small Engine solved my problem - Oil Guard. I had checked the oil and it was just a little low but seemed well within the normal range. I was told to add more, bringing it just over the Full mark. It seems that the low oil protection system is very sensitive and shuts down the engine even when the oil is withing 1/8" of the mark. I added about 2-3 oz of oil and no more problems
