Question about Acer Computers & Internet
I tried downloading a visual novel and it was a torrent file...I've been trying to play it but I don't know how to open the file
The ".torrent" file type is referring to the software that you need to download the file. It contains tracker information that will allow you to download the file using a torrent client. Download bittorrent (http://www.bittorrent.com/), or utorrent (http://www.utorrent.com/), and install.
Which ever you choose to install should be set to open "*.torrent" files by default. You should then be able to open the link - which is what the torrent file essentially is - and it will ask you to add it to the files that you are currently downloading.
If you need to add it manually, You can open the file menu and then locate the file on your drive.
You may also need a e-book manager/reader if you don't already have one. I suggest calibre (http://calibre-ebook.com/).
Hope that helped, and good luck.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Download the free version of Malwarebytes Anti-Malware,
(Click on the green rectangle with - Download Now - in it )
, to the computer you are using now. Copy to a folder, (My Documents, or Downloads), or straight to a CD disk. (CD-R)
Either way burn it (Copy) to a CD disk.
When finished turn the affected computer on, put the disk in the optical drive. (CD/DVD drive)
Malwarebytes will ask if you wish to install. Yes (OK)
If a Microsoft 'Squawk Box' comes up ignore it, click on Run.
(I can explain that last sentence if you wish)
Click on Full Scan.
WHEN using Malwarebytes DO NOT click on ANYTHING!
You will just slow Malwarebytes down.
[You will be tempted. The malware may pop so many pop-ups that you cannot see the Malwarebytes screen, and wonder if it is working.
You may see Microsoft 'shields', and fake ones that look very close.
Do not click on anything you will just slow Malwarebytes down.
(Unless it states it needs to update <- then click ]
Average run time is 42 minutes. Depends on how large the harddrive is, and how much stuff is on it.
When Malwarebytes is done, you are Not finished.
Windows has System Restore. Nice feature, but it also restores VIRUSES.
Turn System Restore off. Run Malwarebytes one more time. Turn System Restore back on. Create a Restore Point.
Tell me what Operating System you are using, and I'll guide you with the System Restore thing.
(Windows XP and Windows 7 are two examples of an O/S)
Post back in a Comment.
(I have kicked the cr@p out of malware for years using Malwarebytes. Everyone has their little favorite. Malwarebytes has done what no other anti-virus can, over the years.
Did I also mention it is FREE?
Also use the free CCleaner, a registry cleaner.
Click on -> FileHippo.com
Upper right corner - click on the blue - Download Latest Version.
