It works on 240volts and gas but not on 12 volts. Why and how do I gain access to the parts that I must test?

My Electrolux RM4211 does not work on 12 volts. It is fine on 240 volts and gas. What should I look for? How do I get access to these parts ?

check that some bugger hasn"t turned your taps off or gas bottle -otherwise call a camper trailer dealer and ask the the best advice on what to do -might just be a blocked gas jet -but you will need a licensed gas fitter to check it for you -wont cost too much

Only has 120 volts,can not get 240volts

the generator consists of 2 120volt windings that run in parallel for 120 volts and in series for 240, check the change over switch make sure a wire hasn't fallen off, if you have a multi meter check both coils have the same resistance

Climat controlThe fan is not working

You will need to do some checks .. First remove glove box. Then you can gain access to the blower motor. You will need a voltmeter or test lamp. Disconnect the plug to the blower motor. With the blower control turned to on check for voltage 12 volts, on one wire. The other should be less than a volt which is your ground. If so the motor is bad. If not then it will require more time and testing. If you want to try the "tap" method try tapping the blower motor with the wires still hooked up if it starts then blower motor is bad

Brake lamps does not working nissan 1996

You may have a defective switch, to check remove any panel found under the dash that blocks access to the brake pedal arm, then look up above the pedal, you will see the brake light switch, with a 12 volt test light probe (about $4 at most parts stores) check the connector to the switch, it should have 12 volts at one side of the connector and 12 volts at both sides when the brake pedal is pressed. Replace switch or repair connector as needed.

It runs the battery down

Does your frig have 110, Gas and 12 volt setting? ... or is it auto select?

This is the way they should work ... if there is 110 Volts, it should run on 110 volts. The device is still controlled by 12 volts but the heat source is electric. If there is no 110 volts, it should switch to gas as a heat source. Same deal with the control, runs on 12 volts. If there is no electric and no gas, it should select 12 volts for a heat source ... same deal with the control. Problem with 12 volt source for heat is it GOBBLES up the power in your battery.

How is your battery? Do a volt test on the battery and the charger. Charger should run about 14 volts. Battery should provide at least 11 volts. If it is such that you can measure the acid, a good reading is 1200. Your charger can provide only about 15 amps charging power. Your battery should be able to provide up to 110 amp/hours.

If you do have electric and gas, it may not be your frig that is killing the battery ...

Thanks for your quesiton @ FixYa.com

Fan and light work, oven stays cold

one of three things are possible:either you are missing part of your 240volts at input power,or a bad neutral power wire to heating element,an oven temp control,or the thermocouple that controls oven temp

remove both elements and check continuity of both units, sometimes also the thermostat can go bad from age, also make sure you have 240volts from main panel in house,if you lose 1 leg i.e. 120 volts the heater wont work properly without 240volts

Broiling works but baking does not work

CHECK FOR 240VOLTS AT THE TERMINALS OF THE BAKE ELEMENT. GAIN ACCESS BY REMOVING THE BACK PANEL OF THE RANGE. SOMETIMES THE TERMINAL WILL BURN OFF OF THE WIRE GOING TO THE ELEMENT. THE WIRE WILL JUST BE HANGING THERE. BE SURE TO UNPLUG THE OVEN BEFORE REMOVING BACK PANEL. IF THE WIRE IS BURNT, REPLACE THE TERMINAL AND REATTACH TO THE ELEMENTS TERMINAL. IF THE TERMINAL IS DAMAGED, REPLACE BAKE ELEMENT.
IF THERE IS NO VOLTAGE TO THE ELEMENT, REPLACE CONTROL.
