Try using long grain white rice works better than minute rise, if that does not help, then the burrs need to be replaced on grinder.

SOURCE: Why is the grind from my Breville BCG450XL in the

The Breville was designed to be used with Pressurized Portafilters, which most Home Espresso Machines have. These filters use a courser grind, so when it says Espresso on the Breville, it's really closer to Drip. The Turkish setting is barely fine enough for Espresso. There is a limiter on the Breville that prevents the user from going any finer, if you crack it open and remove the limiter, you can go as fine as the Solis. Becareful though, the burs can come so close to each other that they can chip and break.

SOURCE: The on/off button comes off consequently machine isn't working

if you are handy the switch needs to be replaced. Soldering may be rquired and there is very little wire to pull. You can get a rocker switch at radio shack plus you need a triangular driver bit for base screws, It's really a poor design on a good grinder. You actually NOT have a switch and just hard wire it. I fixed mine for 3 bucks and an hours time

My gaggia titanium dumps the brewed coffee into the dregdrawer, how do I fix that?

Water collection in dump box can be due to any of the following reasons:

1- The Plastic screw that fastens the upper filter screen in the brew group is not holding the 9 bar extraction pressure. The O-ring seal on the screw may have hardened. Replace the plastic screw. There are two different screws. Older Pre 2004 models have a screw with flexible locking pins. Here is the link to order:
http://www.shop.partsguru.com/701R05150-Saeco-Pre-2004-long-Plastic-screw-30-Gm-Lube-701R05150.htm
The screw in newer models is shorter with a flat locking end. Here is the link:
http://www.shop.partsguru.com/Saeco-short-Thumb-Screw-with-O-ring-30-Gm-lube-0018755.htm.
2- The second reason can be less coffee which is not enough for good compacting. This leaves room for some coffee that did not squeeze out and drops in the dump box with watery used coffee puck.
3- The Conical burrs may not have been replace for several years. The steel conical burrs have a life of 2500 grinds. This machine may still have burrs that have done over 5000 grinds.
Blunted burrs need to be replaced. You can order the burrs and instructions for cleaning the grinder and replacing the burrs. Here is the link:
http://www.shop.partsguru.com/226473500-Saeco-and-Gaggia-Conical-Grinder-Burrs-Set-0018819.htm?categoryId=-1

Please check the above and fix the cause.

Ginding problems, all clogged up

Follow these instructions to put grinder back together...

Items needed to clean grinder
1- #2 Phillips head screw driver
1 Cleaning brush
Prep:
Remove all beans from the bean hopper, vacuum out any
beans that cannot be scooped out by hand.
Remove the front and back screws and pull off bean hopper
container from the machine. (Note: The rear screw is longer
than the front screw.)
Note: Doser adjustment knob is available only on Vienna
Digital and Vienna Deluxe Rapid Steam.
Place screws in a safe place so that they will not be lost.

knob
Before beginning to clean the grinder please be sure to turn the machine off and unplug it from the wall
socket. Grinder Tip: Using an oily bean will cause the coffee to build up quickly and clog the grinder.
Saeco recommends using a medium to dark colored bean that is not oily.
After cleaning the grinder and then brewing a cup of coffee it may take 2-3 grinding cycles for the machine
to dispense coffee.
Step 1:
Remove the black rubber gasket, then vacuum additional beans or grinds from the grinder area (Fig. 1).
Rotate the outer ring of the grinder counter-clockwise until the red line is at the 12 o'clock position (as
viewed from the front of the machine) or until the red line on the outer ring is 180º from the opposite red
line on inner burr ring (Fig. 2).
Lift the inner burr ring out of the assembly (Fig. 3).
Figure 1 Figure 2 Figure 3
Step 2:
Vacuum out any residual grinds from inside the grinder and clean the grinder burrs using the cleaning
brush (Fig. 5). Clean out the grinder coffee chute using the end of the cleaning brush (Fig. 5).
Remove the drip tray, open the service door, remove the dregdrawer and brew group. Gently pull
down the coffee doser door and brush out any ground coffee that may be inside the chute (Fig. 6).
Reassembly:
Be sure that the red line on the outer ring is still in the 12 o'clock position. Place the inner burr ring back
into the grinder making sure the red line on the inner burr is at the 6 o'clock position or 180º opposite from
the red line on the outer ring (Fig. 2). Once the inner burr ring is in place, rotate the outer ring clockwise
until it will not turn any further. At this time the two red lines should be aligned. The grinder is now at the
"0" position. Replace black round rubber gasket (Fig. 7).
Take the bean hopper container and rotate the grinder adjustment wheel to zero (0) (Fig. 8) and the doser
adjustment knob to the minus symbol (-) (Fig. 9). Slide the doser adjustment gear toward the left of the
machine until it stops. (Note: The Vienna Black does not have a doser adjustment knob. Only the Vienna
Digital & Vienna Deluxe Rapid Steam have a doser adjustment wheel.)
Reinstall the bean hopper container being sure to use the LONG screw in the back, then replace the finger
guard using the short screw in the front of the container. Once the bean hopper container has been
reinstalled, rotate each knob through the full range of motion. The grinder knob should rotate from (0) to
(18) and back, and the doser knob from the minus symbol (-) to plus symbol (+) and back.
Place the grinder adjustment knob at the eight (8) position and place the doser knob at the halfway
point between the plus symbol (+) and the minus symbol (-) symbol, or to your preferred settings.

I cleaned my Breville grinder and tried to put it back together but the bean container will not fit back in. Please help.

This might be it. On the bean container there is a white dart and the word 'align'. The same dart and word appear on the top of the grinder. Align the two darts and the bean container should drop right in.

How do I remove the burr grinder for cleaning? Saeco Royal Exclusive

This is not a hard procedure, but you have to feel comfortable with DIY projects.
First empty the bean container. Vacuum out any remaining beans. Remove the philips screws from the hopper. Lift the hopper off. Vacuum any loose beans out. Remove the rubber gasket. You may clean this with a mild soap solution. Remove the grind adjustment lever- lift straight up with index fingers under the flange. Turn the outer ring with the holes counterclockwise, lift the center ring with the ears straight up when the outer ring is loose enough. The ring with the ears is the upper burr. Clean with a brush. Don't use water or other solutions. Vacuum the beans chamber and brush clean. Replace the upper burr ring matching the ears with the grooves. Turn the outer ring clockwise until it stops. Pull the inner ring to be sure it is locked. Now turn the outer ring back 13 clicks. Replace the rubber gasket. Replace the grinder adjustment lever- drop the lever flange inside on the outer ring with the lever grip loop over the top at #4. Press the flange with two fingers while supporting the outer ring from below. This seems tricky, but be patient. Replace the hopper and screws. Do any grinder adjustments while grinder is running with beans, it may take a few shots to be back at your preference grind! Good luck!
