Question about Motherboards
I have a Fujitsu Siemens computer and am currently running DDR400 and would like to know if my mboard supports DDR2 (any speed)???
DDR & DDR2 memory DIMMs are not interchangeable.
Check the specs on your motherboard; some motherboards require specific memory configurations, such as my mobo, which will only function with "x8" memory chips, such as 32Mx8, 64Mx8, or 128Mx8. A "x4" memory DIMM will not work -- this might be the problem you're having. (Unfortunately, this bit of data on memory is often not listed, so you may need to ask/search well...)

No, DDR400 is just DDR RAM. DDR2 is newer RAM and is not compatable with older systems that take DDR RAM. Sorry.
