If your battery isn't flat, that means it is probably old and defective. That could also be hazardous. The message being displayed is normal if a very large file (e.g. video or very high resolution) is being stored. If not, it could be associated with your bad battery and a power problem.

SOURCE: AFter taking a picture and reviewing it, I try to

Hello,

This could be an error on the memory card.
The camera cannot write the picture to the card.

Try this:
Save any photos that you want to keep and format the card in the camera.
If this does not work you may need a new card.

Hope this helps.

Is the card cheap? Is the card a class 2 or lower? Is the card full of pictures that you should have downloaded a long time ago? Are your batteries almost depleted? These are things that will slow down a camera.

Welcome to FixYa.

Hi,

Possible reason why do you get an error " Please wait for camera to finish recording " is accidentally you turn off the camera, or new mode was selected while images are being recorded to memory card. This message automatically clears off the camera display when camera finishes writing data to card.

I suggest that do not turn off the camera, removed the memory card, or removed or disconnectthe power source while the hour glass icon is displayedor while the green autofocus lamp is blinking.

Looks you have a slow memory card. Nothing wrong, when you use class 2, 4 or 6 in your camera, but it will slow things down sometimes. Not only for sports shooting, 5 or more frames a second, you need a fast card. For Video it is advised to chose fast cards to. Some cameras only manage one shot a second, and that will become word, when a slow memory card is in the camera.
I don't say this is the reason, I only say this could be the reason.

Picture display freezes and can't none of features work

PLEASE see the test and fix it. God bless you

1. Camera won't record photos. Make sure you've selected a photography mode with your camera, rather than a playback mode or a video mode. If your camera's battery power is low, the camera might not be able to record photos.
Additionally, if your camera's internal memory area or your Memory card is full, the camera won't record any more photos.
With some cameras, the internal software only allows a certain number of photos to be recorded on a single memory card because of how the software numbers each photo. Once the camera hits its limit, it won't save any more photos. (This problem is more likely to occur when an older camera is paired with a new, large memory card.)
The battery is the root of most common digital camera issues. Though battery life has been extended as battery and digital camera technologies evolve, no battery lasts forever. When your batteries begin to run out, sometimes your camera responds in wacky ways that may not seem connected. The flash may not come on, the autofocus won't engage as quickly as it did before or the LCD screen will power off intermittently. All of your camera's responsiveness is linked to its battery strength. Change batteries and try to recreate a problem; odds are you won't be able to. It's a good idea to carry a backup battery for cameras that use lithium-ion cells or a pack of spares for cameras that use AA. Watch your battery icon for a general idea of

Hi there, My problem is I have a toppro tpr2000 hd recorder and sometimes when I record and have finished, and press stop I get 'record is finalizing please wait' which then just freezes on the screen....

It won't damage the recording on your recorder it will mean you won't be able to view the disc on a different machine, possibly. The finalizing of a disc ensures the table of contents is recorded on the disc.
Try a better quality disc?
