Question about Uniden DCT756-3 Phone

Open Question

My phone goes out when someone answers on the other line

I didnt start having problems with my phone until a week ago (ive had them for 2 months). Unfortunately when i make out going calls the phone goes completely silent when someone picks up or has thier answering machine/voicemail activiated. It took me 15 minutes to make a dr appointment because when someone on the other line called the phone disconnected! the problem is pretty random so sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt. Also when the caller I.D. goes off the person i am talking to can no longer hear me, i have to hang up and call back?! Anyone with a solution to this?

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: INCOMING CALLS

Not sure it this is a solution for ALL your problems, but...

I had a similar issue: Phone rings, caller ID info displays then seems to hesitate, then displays only "INCOMING CALL."

The issue seemed to be caused by interference with other devices on the same line (in my case, an alarm system).

Tech support had me change a setting on my TRU9466 base unit (this is one of the PowerMax 5.8ghz models). This is how we did it step-by-step on the base unit:

MENU
GLOBAL SETUP
IN-USE LINE SETUP
select LINE 1
switch to TYPE B

This seems to have solved the Caller ID "interference" issue -- my Caller ID now displays as it should. The Tech Support person suggested trying that TYPE A/TYPE B setting on "OFF" if TYPE B didn't solve the problem, but thankfully, it did.

Now Cheryl, it sounds like your issue is more involved than this -- I didn't have any connection problems -- but perhaps they're related -- you might try my solution.

SOURCE: one ring - noise like fax to caller, phantom call to receiver

Try unplugging all sets and call in. Do you still have a faxlike tone, like from an ALARM system or something else down the street?

SOURCE: I have a Guardian home security system and comcast

Guardian has the system programmed to answer so the can program it from their office when the bill isn't paid or to disconnect the monitoring..Usally it will answer after 9 rings,it has an answer machine bypass that works like this: someone calls the house and it rings a couple times then someone else calls right back it will give the data tones..Try it call your number and let it ring a couple times then hang up and call back and you will hear the data..Call and tell them you want the remote programming disabled..

SOURCE: My BT Verve 450 digital phone set won't ring out /incoming call

My GE cordless handset won't ring when it's on the base charging but it will when I take it off. I've taken off the battery and disconnect the phone from the wall to try to reset it, but it still doesn't ring.

SOURCE: Answering system records message after hang up

One thing to try and take note of is when the message does pick up on the "two ring" message present part do you hear on your side two full rings before the pick up?
It may be that the primary ring starts on the home side as does happen sometimes with VOIP service. If you are only hearing 1 or 1 1/2 rings before the message picks up then you might try hanging up after the second full ring thus knowing no messages are present and it should overcome your problem.

Can someone explain what E74 is and ive got a few other questions

E74: AV cable error... There is a problem with the AV cable, try using a different AV cable. If the cable is known to be working then there is a 90% chance it's a scaler chip problem (the "ANA" or "HANA" chip connected directly to the AV cable) in rare cases it is the GPU.
