Question about Hotpoint Aquarius WF000 Front Load Washer

1 Answer

On/off switch and mini load switch flashes simultaniously

My WF540 1400 spin is three yrs old we have just got back from a 4 day break and trying to put a load on to wash but cannot. the machine will not register us pressing any buttons or programmes or even pressing the on off switch.
All it seems to want to do is run the pump to empty with water though there is no water in there. Visually it flashes the on/off switch rapidly, and the mini load flashes too but not quite so fast. I have taken a look at the printed curcuit board but there doesn't appear to be any thing carboned up or seems wrong at first glance.

Can any one help I have a feeling it could be the PCB but a lot of expence if I get it wrong.

Kenmore front load washer (spprox 6 yrs old) will drain, but won't spin. Gives error F4

No spin and F4 usually means that the problem is caused by a defective pressure switch.

The following is an extract from the washer service manual:

"F4" flashes and the cycle signal beeps when the recirculate pressure
switch is not working properly during the Catalyst, W ash or Soak cycle.
If "F4" is flashing, check the following:
- Plugged recirculate hose (black hose).
- Plugged or disconnected air tube (clear tube).
- Wires to the recirculate pressure switch disconnected or not
connected correctly.
- Failed recirculate pressure switch. Switch (black wire, tan wire)
contacts should be open with pressure applied and closed with
no pressure.

Try disconnecting power by tripping the circuit breaker or disconnecting power cord for five minutes. If that does not clear the error check the thin clear rubber hose connected to the pressure switch and extending into the tub. Try blowing into pressure hose and clean it. If that does not fix the problem replace the pressure switch.

Hotpoint wf540 stopping on a rinse and spin and

check pump/filter/outlet hose for blockages. if ok, check pressure switch (disc shaped item at top of machine with 4? wires and a tube) by blowing into it gently - should hear clicks, then blow into tube to pressure chamber - should be clear.

Kenmore top loading washing machine drains but does not spin

Sounds like the coupler broke. This connects the motor to the trans. The part is only like 25.00 and labor is about 140. When it tries to spin if the basket doesn't move at all, then this is it. If the basket is really slow or easily stopped with your hands then the clutch/trans. could be bad. More times than not, it's just the coupler. These are made to break under heavy load, so it doesn't hurt anything else. They are just rubber and plastic and sometimes break for no reason. Push the lid switch with a pen or something with the lid up and try to spin to see what happens.

Aeg 76669 oko lavamat machine not starting all six lights [pre wash, main wash, rinse, rinse , spin, and end] flashing machine three years old just successfully completed wash cycle, loaded up for next...

I have had the same problem. If you switch the machine to off and then to cotton/linen 95, then press at the same time prewash, soaking, qick wash and stain buttons for 10 seconds switch it off. When I switched it on it worked.
