TH-50PX60U picture problem

Set is 16 months old. There is a defect in the picture that looks like a black

band of irregular shape upper left corner of screen 8inch or so. When you are on a totally white screen the defect looks like it has a blue border and there is some green snow in the center of the screen, Problem is present on all inputs. When there is no signal and the screen is black you can see different shades of grey on the screen. The problem is getting worse as time goes on. The area in the left corner is getting larger.

Any ideas?

thank you for the help.

Re: TH-50PX60U picture problem

Try to replace the Logic Scan board on the upper left side of your tv. The part no. is printed on the board and you can order it from Panasonic's Website. Also check the Service Manual for the part description and part no.

Using a Panasonic plasma TH-50PX60U. Is it possible to make the sd card picture larger? I only seem to get a "small" showing.

If you take the picture in 16:9 mode at 2 MP, it will fill the full screen with your picture.

Small black box in upper left corner of Sony TV - need to remove

I had a similar problem on my Toshiba Regza but trying my fix couldn't hurt. I use a satellite dish for TV (if you do the same this might work)... I turned off my receiver, took the programming card out, cleaned it with my shirt (especially the part that looks like a computer chip), put it back in the receiver, turned it back on and when everything reinitialized the black rectangle was gone.

Hope this helps.

Panasonic TH-50PX60U 50 in. HDTV Plasma Television. 4 years old. It has developed a 2 inch by 12 inch vertical black line bordered by intermittent red/grenn pixles in the upper right corner of the screen.

Hey mate, very common in all makes of plasma TV's. See this how to video on to fix it, the video is for a hyundia but it is the same for your TV.
It's pretty easy, just get a soldering iron and take your time, best of luck. Bro

I have a Sony Bravia XBR 46". It is 18 months old. The left 20% of the picture is fine, but the right 80% flickers in horizontal bands. Pushing back lightly on the upper right corner of the bezel and...

Please make sure that the connections are secure.

If the television is plugged into a power strip or surge protector, remove it from the power strip or surge protector and plug it directly into the wall outlet. If the issue is resolved, the problem is with the power strip or surge protector and not the television.

Please try connecting the TV to a different wall outlet and check if that helps.

Panasonic th-50pz85u problem

My problem turned out to be silly but simple. I recently took my TV off the wall and mounted it on a stand alone platform. I snaked the power plug through the back tube and left too much tension at the entry point for power. If you leave the slightest tension the female connector will jiggle and it will shut off. It normally takes 3 minutes before you can retry and then the problem persists. Try allowing more slack and/or buying a new power connector to make sure the plug connects correctly. Good Luck!

Parallel vertical lines through left side of Panasonic Plasma tv

This sounds like one of the driver boards at the bottom or top of the screen has an intermittent fault. The set will have to be taken in to a service centre.

TV Won't Turn On

Are you from US or Canada? I'm Panasonic authorized and allways Pana covered the warranty after 1 month from the expire date. Call Panasonic Viera service and tell them the story. I'm sure you'll get refound.
Anyway, a horizontal line doesn't mean the PDP is defective. It's one scan IC burned on the SU or SD board (depend where the line is). We allways replaced the SC bord each time SU or SD got burned. If after SD and SC replacement it still defective...yes the PDP has one scan line in short.
Call Viera and insist to get warranty. Let me know. Good luck!

Blue snowy pixel areas on my plasma

some of these panels were mis-calibrated from the factory after not aging long enough. Let the TV run for atleast 2 hours and adjust the Vs and Vscan voltages. When it is blue in the left I have found generally the Vs is about 10 volts too high.
