If your database is located on a mapped drive, then check your drive letter for the mapped drive. If it is "X:" for example, then your software will need to be pointing to the X: drive within the SetDBStr.exe setup tool.

That tool can be accessed by exploring your C: drive as follows:
c:\program files\asureid\program

You should run SetDBStr.exe and specify "Custom Configuration" (second choice) and then browse to the database on your mapped drive. Hope that helps!

How do I recover data from .mdf file

Detach you database. Overwrite the mdf and ldf files you've restored from your backup with your files from the D: drive. Reattach the database.
There is no guarantee that this will work or if it works, that your database is in a state where you can continue to work with.
If that doesn't work then there is an option to try to restore database using SQL Server Recovery Toolbox. It is a powerful tool for data recovery. They have a demo version. So you can check it works in your situation or not.

How to fix error in database: microsoft office access has detected corruption in this file

System restore will not restore any data files, only system files.
Databases normally need periodic sorting as their indexes get corrupted. I don't use any microripoffsoft stuff, only Open Office and iMac. Try reindexing your file with Open Office

Access database 2003 problem with a copy of database file. How to fix?

You say corrupt, in what way exactly? Do you get any specific error numbers/messages?

Have you tried Access repair program? Compact and Repair. If not, use it. But ensure that you made a backup, it is necessary because all the recovery tips can make the damage even worse.

Also try Jet Compact Utility. This tool created by Microsoft and it is much like Compact and Repair, but more successful in repairing.

If no one of above advice helps, then perhaps you need more powerful solution. In this case try to run a good third-party. I would recommend Recovery Toolbox for Access. It must help you. https://access.recoverytoolbox.com/

HOW TO SOLVE VFP FILE CURRUPT WHEN POWER FAILURE

At times, you may view that your MS Visual FoxPro 9.0 database is behaving abnormally. Some of the abnormal symptoms could be an error message while opening any database table, invalid characters in place of pre-defined values, and and more. The main reason for abnormal behavior of the database is its corruption due some logical crash. Few common reasons for corruption of MS Visual FoxPro 9.0 database are abnormal termination, faulty network devices, simultaneous modifications, conflicting third-party software, and incompatible service packs.
To overcome such database corruption scenarios, the user can use an up-to-date backup and perform restoration. However, restoration fails in cases where the user either forgets to create a database or the database backup itself gets damaged. In such cases, the database users can use a third-party DBF File Repair application to repair his/her corrupted database.
To illustrate the above case, consider a real-time scenario wherein you execute a query to modify your MS Visual FoxPro 9.0 database. While the query was performing the modification, the system shutdown due to power failure. However, the next time you tried to mount the database, you encountered an error message that did not allow you to access the database records. Moreover, the same error message appears every time you try to access the database.
Cause:
The root cause for the error message is MS Visual FoxPro 9.0 database corruption due to improper system shutdown.
Resolution:
The database corruption error message can be surmounted by following the below steps:
Use a complete database backup and perform restoration. However, in case of database backup unavailability, you will need to search for a commercial DBF File Repair utility.
A third-party DBF Repair application uses effective repair techniques to repair logically damaged MS Visual FoxPro 9.0 database and restore it at a new and safe location. The original database during the repair process remains intact. The tool is easy-to-understand and allows even a non-technical person to perform repair.
DBF Recovery Software is a comprehensive solution to repair databases created in MS Visual FoxPro 9.0, MS Visual FoxPro 8.0, and MS Visual FoxPro 7.0. The tool also repairs databases built in dBase III, dBase IV, and dBase V. Supported by Windows 7, Vista, 2003, XP, and 2000, the DBF Repair tool creates a new repaired file that can be attached to existing database.
Tanvi Sharma is a self employed Internet entrepreneur and product reviewer. This DBF Repair utility is extremely useful when the dBase and Foxpro database gets corrupted due to internal program errors, hardware malfunctioning, accidental deletion of data and more. This DBF Repair software repairs all types of database components including table name, column name, column data type, indexes and primary keys.

Our MYOB 14 .dat file is crashing. We suspect a corrupt entry in the database. The file will open but as soon as we trying to do anything the program closes and produces the following error: MYOB must terminate. Termination Code 1284 Important Details: Error -3000 in DMGTEKey (5037:7000:69) Seems to be the same error every time. We have tried running MYOB's Verify and Optimise tools with no luck. Each time either tool is run the program crashes and displays the error: An error occurred while attempting to compact the database. DM Error = (-3000-5049-7000-158) Restoring from a backup is not an option as last backup was 3 months ago. So looking for solutions to fix the current file please. Will not be satisfied if the solution is to take it to MYOB. Need someone who can actually dig around inside the file and correct the errors??

Access problem

see if the LDB file still exist and delete it...

Whenever you open an Access database, a file with the same name as the database and an extension of LDB will be opened automatically. For example if you open Northwind.mdb in the samples directory of your Access/Office installation, a file called Northwind.ldb will be generated. This new file keeps track of users and the objects that require some form of locking in the database. When all users have exited gracefully from the database, the LDB file is closed down and deleted.
