It is either incompatible or dead.  try it in another machine.  if the stick of ram runs, it is likely an incompatibility.  refer to your documentation included with the motherboard/laptop (you didn't clarify) to see what it supports.  there is actually a huge difference between pc100 and 133 (which are now obsolete) and ddr2 and ddr3, although they respectively share similar pin count and layout.

Check your ram remove all, then replace each stick one by one, if any bleep its more than likely bad. remove it. if that doesnt help, your motherboard could be going. try removing ram first.

What should i do my desktop goes on bleeping after I changed battery?

Bleeping? Sure it's not a Sheep?

The beeps you hear are BIOS Beep Codes. The computers way of telling you something is wrong, and an area to look into for it.

I hope you had the computer unplugged, and FOLLOWED Anti-Static Precautions.

If so you probably just knocked the Ram Memory loose.
Remove all Ram Memory module/s ('Stick'), and then reinstall.
It is the only way you will be assured they are installed tightly, and correctly. Visual inspection will NOT do.

Added RAM to E210882

This common.

You either added the wrong size or type of RAM (verify this)

You need to take it out (power down first)

reboot... wait for the beeps to go away

Power off

Place the ram back in again... be sure it is in the right channel

If you have 4 slots... one stick per set of slots.

PC turns on then quickly turns off

Does it boot fine if you remove the memory you just added? If it does then try switching the memory that was in it before with the memory you just added. You want to first determine if the ram you bought is bad or incompatible.
