Configure Dell 1184 Router - cannot connect
We are trying to configure a Dell 1184 router for a new internet connection after moving. We reset the router and went through the setup and although it shows that it is connected and the signal is excellent, we are unable to connect to the internet. Any suggestions? Where should I get the IP address and other DNS, etc #s to put in the set-up? I am wondering if I have the wrong ones. Thank you

- We have the internet through Road Runner. We can connect to the internet if use a wire, but once you are disconnected, although it says you have a strong signal, you are not able to connect.Clarification Request

Hi there,
I am unfortunately not fmailiar with "Roadrunner", so please fill that gap this gap for me.
How does your internet setup (physically) look like?
Do you have a modem that is connected to the wall with a telephone line or through a cable (looks like a TV cable)?
Can you connect to the internet when your computer is connected to the router via an Ethernet cable (looks like a telephone cable with a bigger plug)?
