Question about Heating & Cooling
I have a carrier heat pump air handler central system. the ecm apparently failed on the motor. looking at having to spend over a thousand to replace this 100 dollar motor. motor itself still looks fine. how do i wire around this ecm and circuit board in my air handler so that i can control everything from my thermostat just like in the good old days? i can get anything i need to do this. sequencers, relays, time delays, etc
Check the following link.
My system failed today. I jumped the Thermistor to get me by until the replacement get here.
Total cost plus shipping was under $30.00

1. Power off at disconnect 2. Install a fan relay, hook low voltage wire (usually Green) from thermostat to relay on low volt terminals and t-stat common. Fan wires, one goes to one of the load terminals, one goes to the relay, then from relay to load.
