Did you make any changes to your computer just before restarting like updating software, Windows Updates, changing video settings? anything? When the computer starts up, do you see the BIOS/manufacturer's logo? Do you see the operating system start up? or is the monitor completely blank the whole time?

Sounds like you have a video card issues..Also try turning off Monitor first, then shutdown PC. Then Turn monitor back on first then PC..It should sync up...

Screen goes black, but power light is on (not blinking)

The problem is not with your screen. Its the problem of Video Card of your system which is unable to send Video Signals to the Screen.

Monitor blinks no image

first you need to isolate the problem to either the computer or the moniter. I would sugust that you hook a know good moniter to the compter and go from there. If the other moniter works then you have a moniter issue aif not chek the video card in the computer. good luck
