Question about Refrigerators

Open Question

Thetford N112 not working on mains/DC but fine on gas.

Electric elements in my Thetford N112 fridge (2010 Bailey Olympus) are marked Norcold, 630814 / 630815 These were replacements put in by dealer and appear to have failed again. Please could anyone tell me if Norcold replacements are available/necessary, or are Thetford's 'own' brand any good? They are really easy to lift out of their respective tubes, although I have yet to 'meter' them for open cct etc. What would the closed cct resistance be? Many thanks.

Norcold fridges are now part ofThetford one of the largest suppliers of mobile and marine products. You do not quote the model so not sure if a 3 way (gas/mains/12v) or AC/DC. The most common problem with all mobile fridges is the heater unit is faulty. Thetford have discontinued spares for a large range of norcold models. Information can be obtained on the Thetfold.com website.
Good Luck

Thetford Fridge N112

There is a very likely possibility that the resistance heater for the 12 Volt side of the operation is open. This heater can be checked for continuity using an OHM meter from the terminals for the 12 volt .
