With the forks compressed all the way down, and the springs removed, you can fill them 6 inches from the top. You will need to use a siphon or maybe a turkey baster to get the correct amount in each fork leg.

what kind of carb is it? some will be on the side of the main chamber, although on some others that are CV (constant Vaccum) carbs like a ZX6R they are underneath in the gap of the float bowl, although a Honda CB500 has it right between both carbs quite high up and you need a very trick screwdriver for that!

if you are unsure take each screw out that you think it may be, and if its got a needle type end then thats ya mixture screw.

put it all the way in again and turn it 3 full turns out as a guideline, may need more or less

get a Gunson Colourtune to get it completely accurate

Just call the mechanic and get it fixed, because if any wiring if connected wrong then it may causes a big damage than at this condition result in more expenses.

1.Fuel on
2 kill switch to run
3 side stand up
4 petcock in prime position if it has one
5 Spark?
6 choke on?
7 check the spark plug to see if it smells like gas or is wet with fuel
20 seconds at a time on the starter or it will burn out

I use automatic transmision fluid, the red stuff. Seems to work just fine. Any thin oil will work.
