Uanble to reset or eject game

PS2 console- I was playing a game for about an hour and I paused it only to come back an hour later and to a black TV screen and not able to reset or eject the game from the console. I turned off the console and left it alone for 24 hours and turned it back on to the same problem.

- I don't recall exactly what screen it was on but the game was Tomb Raider Underworld and I still can not get the game to eject. I follow the recommendations from Sony, they instructed to press the compartment while hitting the eject button but doesn't work. The reset button lights green but when pressed, the game does not load and the tv screen is black.
