Our freezer is not working. The back panel is frozen and it won't come up to temperature.

The back panel frozen is a sign of a defrost problem.
There are only three parts to any refrigerator defrost system.
1. Heater2. Timer3. Thermostat
One of them is bad.

Our refrigerators defrost time is too long. The frozen food gets defrosted and frozen again.

I would recommend replacing the defrost termination thermostat. Sounds as if yours is
stuck shut. (The timer just has a set time for defrost, which can be much longer than
needed). The defrost termination thermostat senses temperature inside the freezer and
opens a switch which shuts off the defrost element. It is located inside the freezer
compartment behind the back panel and is clipped onto a tube. It has two wires coming to it usually (sometimes 3). Make sure to unplug fridge before removing back panel
and be mindful of the wires to the fan so as not to break them. Hope this helps.
Also, if the motor start relay on the compressor is going bad this same thing may happen as the compressor kicks out but the freezer fan continues to run.
It is located under the cover on the side of the compressor. Model and serial numbers
are inside fridge on the side panel. Both parts are usually around 20 dollars or less
at an appliance part store.

Water dripping from freezer into refrigerator

Hi,Most likely the drain in the freezer is clogged up and frozen. Every time when your fridge automatically defrosting defrosted water dripping inside the fresh food compartment. You have to remove the back panel in the freezer and using a hair dryer defrost the drain which is located under the evaporator coil. Then put very hot water through the drain until it goes free.
Yes, you need to remove the back panel inside the freezer, It should have screws that come out then it should pull off and out.

On your model, the defrost drain hole/line is located inside of the freezer behind that back access panel, just remove that back panel, remove your freezer floor panel FIRST(Has 2 screws in front), that simply pulls out, then you will see the drain hole under the evaporator coil. It may be iced up, you will have to clear all of the ice and run hot water down the drain hole.

Once the back panel screws are removed that panel should just pull off, pull hard. Make sure your refrigerator is unplugged first.

Good luck.

Fridge had a lot of frost at the back (top fridge/lower freezer), turned it down and it defrosted, however, the freezer doesn't seem to be working properly either. Defrosted it all last night and this am...

It sounds as if the freezer coils and vent stack are frozen solid. This usually requires
removing the back panel in the freezer compartment and defrosting carefully with
a hair dryer. (If this becomes frozen it blocks off the fan/vent that feeds cold air down to
the fresh food compartment) Make sure to unplug unit before servicing as you will need
to unplug the fan to remove the back panel.
While doing this check the defrost termination thermostat (a small device attached to
the tube with two wires coming out of it). The black plastic ones sometimes come apart
and fail.
Once defrosted put everything back together and test.
Hope this helps.

Water dripps down from freezer into fridge section

Sorry to read about your problem, I hope this helps you out.

You unit has a defrost drain hose, This hose is either clogged or frozen. which prevents water to leave when your unit goes into defrost. You will have to remove the back freezer panel, to access the hose.
If the hose is frozen, you will have to defrost the unit. and if the hose is frozen, you may have a defrost issues.

If the hose is clogged you may have to use compressed air to blow out.

Freezer and fridge is warm, cold air blowing but freezer is still

Try this, I went to the freezer side pulled the inside back panel (had to defrost it to get it out) and it was completely frozen over. It was not not operating properly because the cooling coils would not allow the fan to pull air through them to cool the refrigerator side. I completely defrosted the coils and turned the refrigerator back on, it worked fine. I then ordered a new adaptive defrost assembly (this is the thing that prevents the ice buildup) since ours was apparently not working properly. I used a fan too speed up the defrost process, because i had to take all the frozen food out and put it in a cooler to get to the back panel. After you take out the racks and food you only need to remove two screws that have a 1/4' head. good luck.
