Replacing Igniter on Hotpoint RGB528PEAWW Gas Kitchen Range

Hello all.. I have read info on replacing the igniter in a gas stove, but Im not sure of how it applies to the one I have. The burners at the top of the stove work fine. Neither my over nor the broiler heats up at all. The burner light comes on but the gas doesnt light. Now this seems to be a bad igniter from what I have read here. But my problem is I dont think my oven has a seperate igniter for the oven and broiler. Do you generally have 2 seperate igniters or does some ovens only have 1? Also would the replacement instructions that are posted on this site be the same for replacing an igniter in all ovens? Im new at all of this so I hope I am making sense??

You should have a broil glow coil at tol and one on bottom. to access the bottom, open the door and look to the back on the oven floor. ther should be a srew one on each side remove and lift bottom up. you should be looking at the glow coil. i would also remove the pan drawer for access.it would be abnormal for bth the broil and bake to fail at the same time. if this is the case i would confirm power is leaving control to the selected glow bar. they shoul pull about 3.2 amps. then i would focus on the valve. which is opened by the amp draw of the bar. one wire on the valve is common and the other feeds from the control through the valve to the glow bar

Igniter is working oven wont lite

You need to make sure the gas lines are intact and not clogged. If there is a strong smell of gas make sure you shut off the gas on the range and you should also make sure you shut off the feed directly to the stove.

Oven igniter glows red, but no gas fire.

The oven igniter is glowing so that tells me the circuit is sound, the oven control is working, and the oven safety valve is ok. That means only one thing. Weak igniter. The igniter must draw 3.2 amps in order to open the safety bi-metal inside the valve. Bumping or tapping on the stove will make the oven light off. Solution replace the igniter.
