Depending on how many hours you have on your liner-you could have a sticky liner.

open door while pulling trigger.

does rollers move smoothly and continuous speed?

do they jerk and hop?

loosen tension on rollers-its not a grinder-you could have too much tension and its distorting wire so its not round anymore and your liner is round...

replace your tip-could be all gunked up.

Make sure wheels are set for diameter of wire. Make sure tension on spool of wire is not to tight. Adjust drive wheel tension per instructions in owner's manual. Make sure tip is clean and of the right diameter.
I had the trigger switch go bad once. As it deteriorated the operation became erratic. Check it's operation with a multimeter.

SOURCE: northern tool brand wire fed gasless welder feeds wire fan work no welding?

You need to have the ground attached to what you'll be welding on. Make sure there isn't anything on the end of your wire. Also, if your voltage is all the way down it won't do anything either. Oh, one more thing, make sure you have a contact tip on the end inside the cone. That will be the copper thing the wire goes through with a really small hole. I know some of this sounds pretty obvious but if I hadn't done these things at least once.....I wouldn't know what to look at either. I also don't know your experience level and want to cover all avenues. Hope you find it!

When welding, the wire drive motor seems to bind up after 3 or 4 revolutions on the sporcket. I took the end off of the gun and pressed the trigger and the wire fed easily for a few secs and just stopped....

Could be the drive motor is going out, or overheating. Or the spool is too tight. If you can get to the motor wiring check the AC with a clamp-on meter to see how much it's pulling. If you're lucky the label on the motor will tell you what the normal draw is.. that small a motor it should be pretty low. If you hold down the trigger even after the wire stops, does the motor start to get hot? Can you turn the spool (lightly) by hand to see if that's hung up and hanging the motor?

Good luck!

Have a lincon 255Xt mig welder. You push the triger and it feed and try to weld and it arces then it stops right a way. Let go of the trigger and push the trigger and it feeds again. What is are problem?

Have you checked the tension on the wire roll feeder? Inside the unit where the spool is, the wire feeds off of the spool, through the feed roller, this roller has a tensioner spring on it that keeps the wire flowing steady, and also check the spring tension the keeps the spool from turning freely, keep this loose as can be, and just enoughthat it doesn't unwind on it's own.
There are so many things that it can be, but this is a start.
Good Luck.

I have a lincon 3200 hd. it stoped feeding the wire when i was welding. but it feeds when i pull the triger, till i try to weld again

These welders have thermal breakers in them so if they get to hott the will automatically stop feeding the wire but the fan will remain on, try changing the breaker i think its in the door where the spool is held. good luck]

When i pull the trigger to weld the wire turns cherry red and starts to burn

Do you have the correct roller wheel installed? On the proper wire guage slot? Make sure the wire spool is not tightened down to much. That should give you a good start point.

if motor and feeder roller is turning. check that their is the correct pressure on feeder roller for the wire thickness you are using and that it is in the right groove on those rollers.
also check the tip it may have splash buildup which is affecting the wire feed.

SP-250 power supply problem

When you pull the trigger the wire should feed imediately, if it dosn't then this will give you the problem. first check the clutch on the wire spool, this is in the centre post that the spool goes on the nut/screw should allow the wire spool to turn easly without tention,
if the spool runs on adjust the cluch. Check the shaft that the rollers are atached they should be held with key-way to stop them slipping, re-adjust the WFS ensure the wire feeds fast or slow as you rotate the WFS control and ensure the wire feeds instantly, lastly make shore the rollers are correct: the right size
