Can you replace drive coupler on cooks XB9218WA

There would be no spare parts for that. Best plan would be to fix it with epoxy putty. Seal the lot together, if it fails again, you need a new one.

Replacing drive side coupler on a Waring HPB300 blender. Threads don't match???

There are not normally any tricks, sometimes they are left hand thread though. More likely if the thread size is really too small then wrong part has been supplied.

How can I change the blade for my 2 speed hand mixer? The model type is NC-12 if you need to know

you are using your KitchenAid blender and it stops blending, you may think there is a problem with the motor in your machine. However, a common reason for the blades not rotating in the blender is a dirty or faulty coupler. The coupler is what connects your blender dispenser to the motor, and you can easily replace the coupler at any time by only using a screwdriver.
Things You'll Need
  • Flat-blade screwdriver
    • 1 Turn the blender dispenser clockwise and lift up to remove it. Set the blender dispenser aside.
    • 2 Insert a flat-blade screwdriver between the black drive coupler and the frame of the blender on the top center portion of the blender.
    • 3 Lift the screwdriver upward, and the coupler will start to bend out of place. Slightly turn the coupler and then lift up on the screwdriver again.
    • 4 Continue to move the coupler slightly and lift the screwdriver until the coupler is completely removed.
    • 5 Insert the new coupler over the blender's motor blade and then twist the coupler counter-clockwise until it is tightly fastened.

How to remove the cutters on model ksb560mco pctag@verizon.net

The cutters are part of the collar itself and not available as a separate part. If there is anything wrong with them you need to replace the whole collar. The collars are available on Amazon UK, K A Parts as well as other places.

How do I remove the coupler from a Kitchenaid blender, model: KSB560BW0. There seems to be confusion between different models and how to remove it. I have tried prying, and unscrewing clockwise, and...

I just worked on mine tonight. you have to take the bottom off by removing the four rubber feet and then the four screws under them. Now here's the tricky part; you'll need something to hold the jar coupler (round thing spins the blade). I was able to use a large pair of vice grips with some electrical tape wrapped around the jaws, to keep from damaging the coupler. Then take a slot edge screw driver and back out shaft from the coupler. FYI, the threads are reverse, so you will actually be turning the screwdriver clockwise to remove the coupler.

Square drive pin for Osterizer blenders?

I simply slid a small screwdriver in through one of the holes under the base to prevent the fan from spinning and unscrewed the pin counterclockwise using some small channel lock pliers. No disassembly necessary.

KitchenAid KS85 Coupling Drive

When I took it to my authorized KitchenAid repair guy he said you need a 7mm wrench and you need to make sure it has a VERY thin depth/girth of the wrench. He actually held his wrench tip to a metal sander and made it thinner on each side without compromising the integrity of the torque of the wrench. This is to make it fit properly under the coupler and around the shaft. Anyway, can rip off the rubber cap of the coupler, hold the metal disc part TIGHT with pliers, and stick the wrench beelow the coupler and above the base body. (The rubber coupler left still on it might make it easy for the pliers to grab, but you rish tearing it and maybe stripping the shaft or your wrench. Make sure the rubber piece is good and strong if you are going to do this.) If you look hard at the rotator shaft sticking up, it is not completely round -- it has two flat sides (for the wrench to brace it). Lastly, to finally loosen the coupler off the shaft, you hold the wrench constant on the shaft and you twist the pliers CLOCKWISE, as though you would be tightening something. Again, LOOSEN=CLOCKWISE. You are not tightening... The coupler thread is opposite the normal threads we are used to. The coupler is lefty-tighty and righty-loosy. The trick, I believe is finding the perfect wrench so that you don't feel like you are stripping the shaft or wrench. Then you get your new coupler and lefty-tighty it on.

Aside: Looking at the coupler, after the rubber is pried off, you can imagine that there is a special tool that fits into the little holes to make the twisting easier. My repair guy thinks this was the original intent, but perhaps the special tools for this repair process are not available since now there is an newer KitchenAid blender out with a different coupler design (and repair process). But this works. I even bought an extra coupler off him to do it myself the next time. The "authorized" dealers are few and far between in my part of the country, my nearest 3 hours away. I couln't even find a closer "unauthorized" person to repair it! I loved this blender enough for the 3 hour trek, though.

Hope this helps!!
