Can the battery for the Nuvision TM101535L be replaced

All battery can be replaced. Remove the battery from the device, it will have a number on it, that is the part number, go on the web and Google that number for a replacement battery pack. Cost will be fairly high.

Have you double checked all of the connections? It is possible that you got a faulty part as well. Contact the place you got the replacement parts from and see what their return or exchamge policy is.

My tablet will no longer turn on. The back of it is hot, and there's a burning smell!!

I would suspect that your internal battery may have shorted. If the battery is removable, remove it and try a replacement. If the battery is non-removable you may have to bring the tablet in for service.

Forgot password. will not reset. How to remove books already read.

You will have to get a hold of Amazon tech support to get the password reset.

Books read can be removed from the shelf by holding on a book and selected remove. Books will be removed from the Kindle but will remain in the cloud. To remove books from the cloud, you need a laptop computer to manage your cloud folder on Amazon. Once books are removed from your cloud folder, they can't be replaced unless you repurchase the book.

Books can be removed from the carousel by pressing down on the book cover and selecting remove from carousel.

Gateway TabletM280e screen broken. What is needed to replace and how to replace it.

Assuming the screen is physically cracked, you need to obtain a new screen, remove the screen bezel by popping off the rubber caps and undoing the screws under them. The screen is fixed into position by two rails with small screws holding it into place. Remove these and the screen will be freed.
Disconnect the VGA cable and the smaller two wire plug that connects the inverter to the screen, replace the new screen and re assemble

Need to disassemble

to remove the keyboard on the cf-18 keyboard you must remove the 4 screwsby the ESC, F4, F10, and PAUSE key. once removed lift the 2 covers and holding the keyboard from Function key sides lift up slowly. There are 4 sticky tapes holding the keyboard, once some of the tapes are off you can slide the keyboard up towards the LCD to remove. The connector to the keyboard can be removed by removing 3 screws from the aluminum center cover found under the keyboard

TC1100 keyboard replacement info

If you are replacing the keyboard component (i.e. the actual keyboard) the process is straightforward. You will need jeweller screwdrivers as the srew (torque and philips are quite small):
1. remove all outside screws on the back of the keyboard
2. as per wkuk above you (thanks!) you will see 4 small covers
3. Pop the covers off with a pin they are lightly glued on
4. Remove the 4 screws (philips head)
5. Turn the keyboard so the keys face the table
6. Separate the case exposing the back of the keyboard
7. There are two screws that need to be removed that hold the keyboard in
8. Remove the tape that holds down the ribbon cables
9. Two ribbon cables attach the the keyboard. Be VERY careful and disconnext the slim one from the existing keyboard. Disconnect the second cable from the keyboard body (as the kew keyboard will plug in there.
10. Remove the keyboard and replace with the new keyboard
11. Reverse the steps above.

The real key is to be careful with the cables. Hold the entire cable firmly as these types of connectors can tear. When you initially slowly remove the cables you will gain some idea of how far the cable goes into the connectors. Although I've done lots of fixes on hardware this was my first time doing my keyboard for my TC1100 and the start to finish was 15-20 minutes. If in doubt, take a phot of the keyboard after you've removed the keyboard.

Cheers,

David
