Can't get headphones to work on this unit

Is this product just not designed to work with headphones plugged directly into the aux in jack? If not why can't my daughter just listen to her music quietly. This is why we bought the thing

Aux-in jack is used to play another device such as an Ipod or other sources through your Jensen player, using it as some sort of an amplifier. Look for another port on your Jensen player that says "audio out" or "Spkr" (means speakers) to plug in her headphones. If you can't find any of these ports then you might have purchased a n actual boom box, which does not have the capability to play through headphones, sorry about that.

Testimonial: "Thank you for your response. This is what I pretty much figured was the case. Being dinosaurs we just assumed that if it had a jack it would be for headphones. I guess it's just assumed that if you wanted your nine year old kid to listen music quietly you would just spend a hundred bucks plus download fees and get her an ipod. Roar"

It is not designed to work with headphones plugged into the aux in jack.
That jack is for you to feed music INto the product. You need to plug headphones into a jack that feeds music OUT of the product.

Ipod doesnt work with jvc

You have to plug it in, use your headphone jack on the iPod then plug it into the aux jack in the front left hole on the headunit then try, or if the unit has a USB then use that too

I bought a second hand Fishman LoudBox Performer. The problem is that the Aux-in for the headphone doesn't work. So sick... What can I do? tnx

I don't understand your question. The "Aux in" is just that an input that goes to the power amp. Please note that the Fishman Loudbox does NOT have a headphone jack so don't be disappointed as there plain isn't a headphone jack on this unit. I would recommend that you get a small headphone amplifier for the purpose... or even go to a thrift store and get an old stereo system that has a headphone jack and use that.

I HAVE THE SONY DREAM SYSTEM DAV FX 80 CAN I HOOK UP MY LAPTOP TO IT SO I CAN PLAY MY I TUNES PLAY LIST DIRECTLY THRU IT

yes, but you will need an adapter to do so I believe. You will need a 1/8 in headphone to component audio plug (headphone to the white and red colored plugs), they are pretty easy to find. The headphone end goes to the laptop and the white and red plugs go to the back of the receiver. Note where you plug them in, either above or below the jacks you use should be the component they will be recognized as (Video 1, 2, AUX, etc.)

If there is an AUX pair of jacks, use that one, otherwise just pick one that is open and plug into those. Now with the remote select whichever component was associated with the plugs you used on the back of the receiver and you should be good to go.

Hi is there any way I can hook up my I pod to this

Does it have an aux or CD input jacks at the back? if it does you can get a Docking Station. These have two RCA phono plugs to plug in. Or you can get a 3.5 headphone jack with two RCA plugs and put it in the headphone socket of the IPod.

Zune problem

ok first off, you need to set your stereo system to aux....remember aux the zune is not a cd player.
depending on the brand of stereo system there is a setting were you can change it from cd, to radio and AUX. SET IT TO AUX
do you have a stereo head phone jack on your stereo system, if you do a much better solution is getting a double sided audio cable and plugging the zune directly into the head phone jack to your stereo system it costs maybe $10 for a good gold plated phillips

what i mean just incase you didnt understand is you need a double sided plug for the headphone jack, this plugs into most stereo systems

Jensen cd 2610 aux input has little volume

first of all the rca jacks in the back of your radio are for plugging in an amp, not your mp3 player. there should be an auxiliary jack(looks like a headphones jack) in the front of the head unit. if there is no auxiliary jack in the front then you will have to go buy a new head unit with an auxiliary jack.

Can i hook a surround sound to my zune

It is usually as simple as getting a 3.5mm stereo headphone jack to RCA adapter, like this one:
http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3359117 (this will work just fine, even though it says 'ipod')

Or they have "Zune Ready" adapter kits, like this one:
http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3004031

Once you have the cable, you stick the headphone plug (3.5 mm stereo mini-phono) into the headphone jack on your Zune, then you insert the red and white RCA jacks into an open input on your surround receiver... most have an auxilliary input jack set on the front of the unit. All you need to do at this point is select the "aux input" for the source on the surround receiver, start your Zune, and make sure the volume on the Zune is somewhere in the 50 - 75% range, and you should be good to go.

they are out jacks and you need to run the rcas to an amp and then run your speakers off the amp your mp3 player should work when you plug it in the front and press source aux unless the front jack is an out only
