What type of fiber optic is the Sony cmt dv2d use round or square

If it’s a round rca it’s most likely digital and if it’s optical then it’s most likely square but with a rounded edge.

How can i get sound out of P50S602 plasma rca out puts

The RCA jacks on your Hitachi are for audio INPUT only. The only audio output that is available on your set is the digital optical output. You can try to use a converter that will translate the digital optical to RCA connectors. Here is a link to one such device. There are others out there as well. Prices vary widely. Remember that you will need a cable for the digital audio to the converter as most do not supply it.

This is an optical digital audio output that uses optical fiber with Toslink optical connectors at both ends, from there it comes the name, since your wireless headset has only analog audio input, you'll need an optical digital audio to analog audio converter, to connect your wireless headset to your TV.

I just purchased a Coby TV Model number TFTV 3255. I am very happy with the set. However it has only ONE audio output. The manual, on page 7, "coaxial output" ,an optical audio cable is required....

If it is a single output and looks like an RCA type, then I would say that the cable you would need is a digital coaxial cable. The optical input/output will have a different shape and is not as big of an opening as a digital coaxial input/output.

HOW DO YOU GET TV AUDIO TO MY HOME THEATER?

For analog audio output use the L (White) and R (Red) RCA/Phono coax jacks to output to your Home Theater. Other option is to use the headphone jack wired to the home theater, however use of this will switch off any sound coming from the TV.

If the Home Theater supports digital inputs, use one of these connectors, Orange/Black RCA jacks, Toslink (Optical), HDMI. For nice pictures do a search for images in google/yahoo with the connector type.

So basically look for output connectors on the TV and match it with the same type of connector on you Home Theater input.

Can the sony bravia home theater system be surround for both dvd and tv?

Strickly speaking about the audio:

The unit has digital audio in on 1 each coaxial and digital connectors.

Most DVD players have digital audio out in either a coaxial (RCA-looking) cable or optical cable.

Consider this: your TV is not a Source of audio (or even video, if you think about it). You probably get your programming from a cable or satellite box, Its audio should be available digitally.

If your DVD and cable use DIFFERENT types of digital audio sources, you're in luck. Attach each one to its compatible input on the Bravia. If you only have two optical outputs you can only attach one at a time.

If you have only two COAXIAL digital audio sources you CAN combine them into a single digital input on the Bravia by getting an RCA-splitter cable to connect them both to the one connector. It will only work if you leave one source dormant or off at any time you're monitoring the other source, otherwise you'll have two digital 'converstions' going on with the Bravia at the same time and it won't be pretty.

Connecting cable to receiver

Do you mean 5 RCA audio outputs marked as FrontLeft, FrontRight, RearLeft, RearRight, Center? Unfortunately this receiver doesn't have discrete 5ch inputs (as yamaha calls it on its webpage).
But the cable box should have also digital audio SPDIF output - that is either optical (square connector) or coax (RCA usually orange). You can use this for connecting to receiver.

How do i get digital output

Digital output is usually provided 1 of two ways.  The first is call coax.  This is typically an rca connector that is color coded black or orange.  You can use just about any rca cable to connect it to the same color connector on the back of your surround sound receiver.
The other is called and optical connector.  Refer to your manual to see which one you have.

The orange jack is a DIGITAL audio out and cannot be hooked to anything other than a digital input. You want to use the White/Red jacks at the bottom.
