Question about LG enV VX9900 Cellular Phone
I have dropped my phone and now the display on my lg9900 is dim. It works, but is dim and hard to read (both on inside and outside display) is there a way to fix this? Will a phone repair place help? Are they legit?
I was trying to set the front backlight and it doesn't have the always on selection on it. Any ideas how to keep it on ? thanks

Here, this might help, You said you dropped it so its probably due to the shock and not the settings.
Most repair shops dont stock LG Envy parts becasue they ave no way to get it, So they may or may not be able to help.
If you cant get any help, try this, Take apart the cse on the side with the screens. its fours screws hidden under a stickey cover on the side with the big screen. Pry it apart carefully from one of the edges with a little knife or flat head screwdriver. Avoid getting finger prints on the screens, uses an eye glasses cloth to clena it if you do.
There is a ribon that is connected form the other part of the phone that presses in place, its rectangular. Make sure that is snapped securely in place.
The other connector is under the main screen, if you pull apart the main screen from the small screen, there is another connector that is between the two like a sandwich.
This one comes off easily so it may have come loose form the shock of dropping it.
You have to line it up and carefully press it together before you lay it back in the case and put it back together.
Its bassically a metal frame on one side and you line it up and press in the other side, when you lay it back down into the case, it may come apart again because its own weight pulls it apart, so its a bit tricky getting all together and in place but eventually you will figure it out, one you get it all in, mack sure the screens are clean of debre and fingerprints.
You dont want to do it all over again because theres a smudge on the inside or a hair in there, very pesky.
Everything snaps back together easily and then put the screws back in.
If the sticky screw covers survive you prying at them, then put those back on also, it looks nicer.
Give this a try and see, I tried tajing my phone to a supposedly reputable cell phone repair place and the first thing they did was say they dont have the parts and they cant order them. ( this is because LG doesnt distribut them, not even Verizon can work on them, they send them to LG and they usualy replace the phone if its under warranty.)
So dont get suckered in by a phone repair place because they will just check it for water damage and charge you $60.
Let me know if this works, i like hearing good news when it comes to the ENVY phone.

Im just wondering if some ppl have been having problems with the Env 9900 (green phone) as much as i am. Everytime the phone is in my pocket it automatically just shuts off. I tried to recreate the problem and it seems that sometimes when you tap the phone that it decides to just shut off (im not hitting the shut off key). Whats the deal with this. Also for some reason my front display cracked and i cant see anything out of it. Does anyone knwo if this is a fixable problem. Thanks for any help
