Need to replace 1991 nissan 240SX rear upper brake light bulb

I have a 1991 Nissan 240SX and I need to replace the rear upper brake light bulb or bulbs. This is on the trunk lid and there appears to be two bulbs but I'm not sure. The light does not work. I have removed the light cover and can hardly see the socket. I don't know if it twists off, or pulls out, or what?

I will attach an image of the light socket. I have pulled it and twisted it, but cannot get it loose. So I just need to know how this is supposed to come out before I end up breaking it.

See the three rectangular holes on the base of the light socket as shown on your image, those are locking clips that holds and locks the light socket against the base of the light housing, you may use a small flat head screwdriver to pry them open but you need to do that on all three clips almost simultaneously to release the base of the light socket, be careful not to break them off, they're made of plastic.

I have 1991 Nissan maxima. All my lights, tail lights and brake lights work EXCEPT my left brake light. Changed the bulbs and still dont work. Can someone help?

Pull the bulb back out and look in the plug. They get corroded and the tabs will spread apart and/ or break off. Bend them back if they are there, replace it , if not.. If it looks good, you need to use an ohm meter and check continuity of the tabs to the wire. They usually break close to the plugs.

What wiring do i need to check when i hit my breaks and my head lights pop up?

Now that's funny! Rear fixed...front pops! Since the rear is where the work took place you need to check for crossed wires at the brake lights and turn signal lights. If there is uneven current draw on the circuits, the lights in front could be getting some of the power. Brake lights get the most power in the rear bulbs!

The left rear rotor on a 1991 nissan keeps breaking , i changed, pads, rotor, and calipar and when i drove the car it broke the peice over the lug nuts off of the peice that goes through the brake pads

sounds like to me a bearing is out are the rear axle is bent. jack up car on side that keeps breaking and roll the tire see if it moves side to side but it does have something to do with the axle.
