Question about Apple MacBook Pro Laptop Computer with Intel Duo Core 15.4 Inch PC Notebook
This is a horrible solution to this problem, HORRIBLE. this is the equivalent of saying you blew out your engine on your car- so you\'ll get a tractor to pull it. what you see inside a mac is a REALLY simple configuration of hardware for a MB Pro, in an air, there are only two visible removable components under the base plate, its a SUPER SMART integrated logic board sitting DIRECTLY under the keyboard - starting at the magsafe port on the right side of the comp, and ending about the bottom of the home row of keys. the keyboard is not REALLY a keyboard its part of the body and called a WRIST SIDE DOWN MASTER PLATE. its connected to the logic board by one cabling system and controls the power buttons, the trackpad and part of the wifi / lcd cabling moving through the hinges. SOOOO>..... if the FLIPPING keyboard magically didn\'t work, you would have bunked this cord. its functions are so essential, it won\'t boot without them being fully functional, the laptop makes a special error light code and sound and won\'t boot. SOooooo, what happens when you let oil get on a super complex electrical component with no fan and no ability to move air thought the system??? it develops an issues with the ability to push electricity through the gold PINS ON THE LOGIC BOARD THAT PUSH FIRMWARE (the little 100101011s the tell electricity to make the lumps of metal and brilliance in our computers do all this fancy stuff) to initiate the hardware and components to do their jobs.first try resetting your electric system. you need to do a PRAM and SMC reset they are a very very simple. heres the instructions for that comp. you just hold special keys on your keyboard while its booting.
But honestly you need to have your logic board pulled and a liquid damage repair cleaning done. find an ACMT who will do this, its REALLY important you use an ACMT, apple certified mac technician. apple will charge you to replace this $900 part. and ACMT will clean your board, they own their own shops and don\'t make money under apple\'s corporate umbrella. they fix, they don\'t replace. and id put ANY acme\'s skills against the BEST genius and apple care in the country anyway. certs are brutal to maintain, acmt is the WORST. apple is brutal on this process, if an IT tech has obtained and is current with the credentials and apple logos displayed, you\'re golden. when i clean a board, it depends on the extent of the spill damage. oil will be brutal to remove, its not like you can wipe a delicate electronic component down with you\'re kitchen counter cleaner. and its probably too think to activate the contact indication systems, so its gonna be a blind shot. the repair kits and solutions are about $40-60. do not pay more then $200. the longer you leave this on the board, the more then heat the computer no actually generates will cause the oil to spread potentially causing more damage and eventually showing your computer down completely.
If you want to verify that I\'m correct you go to your Apple menu look at the about the Mac, hit the more info button on the bottom. From the comps main screen you are gonna want to see the system report. under usb you\'ll find the detailed info on the keyboard and trackpad. WHICK ARE ALL ONE PIECE - one can\'t be bad without the other. so if you see the info in here, the computers main brain is completely processing the keyboard. do your reset as stated below and find an ACMT. i just saved your air, this woulda been gone in about 4.5 months. i own an apple IT consulting business and have all 9 apple pro IT certs. bypassing an issue is always shitty advice, Computer can do all the components of functional doing their job. Most legit people will give you some level of a trouble shoot for free. All certified Apple IT techs have to maintain a strict code of ethics and morality conducts dictating their behaviors. we spend a ton on our certs and maintaining them. apple audits all of us at least once a year. they have a tech registry. etc. i recommend apple cert mac techs. this product line so fast it\'s brutal to keep up with and they are absolutely kicking the door down the new technology. You don\'t have access to Apple\'s insight global service exchange track to see the pro manuals to get access to Apple\'s tools and diagnostics there\'s no way you can properly tightness six one of their computers. good luck.
