Testing remote control:
The remote control puts out IR (InfraRed) signal that human eyes cannot see, to find out if the remote is sending out the signal or not you just point the remote at the digital camera’s Lens (Digital Camera can detect IR), you should see flashing light on the camera’s screen when any one of the remote button is pushed.
If the remote does send out signals, then the problem can be the IR receiver in the TV, it can be due to failed 5vdc or the IR receiver module is bad.

The set is slow to respond but you must have a clear shot at the lower right corner of the set. That is where the signal is received. Our sofa cushiopn sometimes gets in the way and must be moved. When a signal is received the blue light comes on.
