Question about Stanton Audio Players & Recorders

Open Question

Only one speaker works with my Stanton T.55

I own a Stanton T55 and I seem to have a problem making both speakers work with it. It is attached to an amp (Sansui A-910) and speakers (two Boston Acoustics A25). Yet when I listen to my vynils, only one speaker works. Sometimes, however, both will work, then it will revert back. I have been through another amp, other speakers and just recently aquired new RCA cables, none of which made a difference. The problem must therefore be with the table. I have no idea what to do!

When the RCA cables are switched, the sound coming from the speaker also switches. Therefore the problem must lay with the left RCA plug.

SOURCE: My speaker set up boston acoustics ba7500 will'nt

The Guys at Boston Acoustics helped me get my speakers to work. The Boston BA7500 speakers are coaxial digital speakers so you need a digital output on your sound card. Analog will NOT work. My new HP Pavilion has a Realtek sound card with a digitial RCA plug output. I had to go to Amazon and get a male RCA to 1/8" Stereo Mini Female adapter plug. I just pluged it in and configured my sound card to 16 bit 48 khz output to the RCA output and everything works great. The speakers sound better then ever, great for 10 year old speakers! They sound better then anything I have seen avalable today. The guys at Boston were the only guys that helped with getting this to work! Thanks again to them and Amazon has every type of adapter plug you may need. Good luck.

SOURCE: I have boston acoustics BA735 speakers that I want

doesn't your computer have a standard audio output port?

I'm fairly sure it must have one......if not, try using the Headphone plug.

sometimes it's a dual output.......stereo/headphones.

Remove the wires to the cartridge (make a note of where they fit first). With your amp on, touch each wire (one at a time) with your finger. On one wire you should hear a buzz in the right channel, on another wire a buzz in the left. The two others should make hardly sound at all, or nothing. This test will prove the signal is getting to the amp. While testing make sure you move any RCA leads or plugs, to be certain they don't cut out.
If this checks out then replace the cartridge.
If it does not then you have a problem either with the connectors or and internal amp inside the turntable itself.

I purchased the Stanton T55 USB Turntable today,I put it together and I was told it would play with just the USB connection to my PC. Needless to say,I cannot get any sound from the turntable. Not...

You can get a cable to convert the two outputs from the turntable to a 3.5 if that will help. Amazon should have them. Picture below:

grubhead_9.jpg Also check your control panel and sound selection (IE SoundMax etc) to make certain the imputs are switched on or not set to low or on the wrong sound settings.

I just bought the t.55 usb turn table and am having trouble playing it. Do you need an amp?

yes you need an amplifier with or without phono input.
your turntable has three types of output
1.phono output (can connect to the phono input of an amplifier which has a phono input)
2. line level output [can connect to ( aux,cd,tape, tunner what u prefer) an amplifier which has these inputs]
there is a selection switch for phono or line level output on the back side
3. and usb( to computer)

Half the signal only through left speaker

Try the switch in the other position and see if that fixes the problem. some turntables had a phono level that is different than a standard rca line level input. Also try a different cable if the rca is not hardwired in to the turntable. The cable could be bad. If worse comes to worse upgrade to another amplifier or tuner that has a separate phono input. hope that helps.

There's only sound in the left speaker.

when you pull out leads from your mixer you can sometimes break cables free from the fittings if pulled by the wanna re soilder a new lead on to deck or pull back the sheath plastic covering the fitting and reconnect the cables(the insulated wire goes to the pin an the uninsulated goes to outside ring)gd luck

Sony speakers not working

Th problem seems to be that you need to go into your sound control options and make sure that the playback devices are for your internal speakers. When changing that you should unplug your external speakers. Let me know if this helps!
