Software update not loading

We are installing a NeoTV streaming player. We established a connection with our router, but the first thing it wants to do is download a software update. There is no way to opt out of it. Meanwhile, we are stuck, staring at the progress "thermometer" which is barely moving, if at all. Can you suggest a solution? Thank you.

    I think it might be a wi fi issue - maybe we need a more powerful router or a booster. That's just a guess though, and I don't want to buy a new router or booster and still not have the problem fixed.

Netflix screen says "getting titles" but the circle never stops and the titles do not appear.


If you have a router or modem for wireless/wired internet, it may be having problems, or the system has been reset recently. Try checking on the router. The illuminated lights should be, 1,power, 2,dsl/cable, 3,internet. Also, if electrinics are not used much, then sometimes they will not work. Just this evening, for example, my dad was fixing an old MARANTZ component type cd player. This was because of it sitting, unused for so long. Sorry, I tend to waffle on a fair bit. Why doesn't my neotv netgear remote no longer communicating with box?


What do the different Remote control front LED lights mean?
  • Blink blue color twice per second: Remote control has paired NeoTV PRIME and is trying to connect NeoTV PRIME.
  • Blink blue color once per second: Remote control is trying to pair the NeoTV PRIME.
  • Orange blinking: Remote control battery is low. Please replace a new set of AAA battery.

My neotv will not let me watch anything


Check to see if there are any physical obstacles that might interfere with your WiFi signal, things like metal wall studs, metal cabinets, etc. if that is the case and you can't move your neoTV setup, you might need to get a WiFi booster. That worked for us.

We have a netgear neotv streaming player ntv300. We had it connected to the tv and then it had a message that it needed to be updated, so I checked it to be updated and it started updating for a whil


We had this problem too. It turned out our wi-fi signal was too weak. After we installed a wi-fi signal booster, the netgear update was completed with no further problems.

When streaming video, the video quits and needs to reload


Connect with an Ethernet cable (may double the speed) or/and get a faster connection.

Neo tv not loading


Reset the box.At the back of the box you can find a small hole.With a paper clip press gently for 10 secs and power off/on the box again.

I currently have 2 NetGear NeoTV Streaming Players both WIDI compatable, I'm running a compaq sr1703wm, what do I need to do to allow my desktop to be able to transfer its images to my TV's?


SHare the files with xp right click and share with windows 7 its more complex.

Did you at least get the media streamers to connect to your router?
