Belt slipping off although tight-burning smell cut hole in access cover

Patricia,
It could be a couple of things that need looking at. You might need a new brush roller or a new motor housing. It sounds like something is allowing the belt to "ride" off of the pulley and it could be that the pulley is worn, or the housing that the brush is mounted in is now worn and the brush sits at an angle instead of being straight across. Take your belt off and wiggle the brush while looking at the brush mount. If the bearing wobbles in the mount area, you need a new housing. Depending on when you purchased this vacuum, there might be a possibility that it might be under warranty. Hope this helps!

Dyson dc50 the roller head stops spinning after

Hi, it's Jim from Crucial Vacuum!

One of the main reasons most brush rollers begin to get jammed and eventually not turn would be due to a clog. Turn off the vacuum and flip it on its side. Is there any noticeable debris, such as hair or large carpet fibers? If you're looking to clean out your brush roll do the following. For the DC50 there should be a red button below the vacuum and just above the brush roll. Push this red button, this will allow the brush roller to be removed. On the brush roller itself you'll notice two more similar looking red switches. Flip these up allowing you to remove the top of the roller and gain access for cleaning. Clear out any debris and try rotating the brush roll once around to see what else may fall loose. Take note of how the bristles look too. Are they worn down and loose? If so it may be time to change your roller.

Another item to check would be your vacuums belt. If this is loose as well it can affect your vacuums brush roll. Both are simple and easy fixes and can be done in just a few minutes.

How often should I brush my dog?

I brush my own dog once a week and I got a short hair breed (American foxhound). Brushing loosens dirt and helps to keep the coat shiny and tangle-free. The brushing process also allows you to bond with your dog better.

Have a Remington Electric Pole Saw Model 075081 looking for Brushes only for it, or the whole Field assemply part #075837 if I have too.

Remington Saws have discontinued operations, and any available parts for the saws require diligent searching on the web. These saws seem to eat motor brushes for lunch, and nearly every owner is looking for brushes as well. Your best bet is to try finding a similar brush from a different tool that might fit. Look to any power tool repair facility for whatever help you can get. A small company making replacement brushes would seem to be a lucrative enterprise. Good luck!

Hoover steam vac model f7425-900 filter is

The brush system on this model has a poor engineering design in that the brushes are running off an air turbine, which uses a steel bushing to spin the turbine which gets rusty from the moisture when the machine is being used. No long term solver. I would replace the machine with a Dirt Devil Platinum Force model
