Question about Computers & Internet

My Lenovo a2109 idea tab is very touchy when charging. It charges only when I have the cord in very specific odd positions. I checked the cord and it works in my galaxy s4 so that is not necessarily the issue. I read somewhere that the adapter needs a certain output and was wondering if that's the issue? If this is not the case then the micro USB must have a bad connection. If this is so then I would like to know what the best way to go about this would be

I realize that this is not a PC but a tablet. I didn't fill out the type and it defaulted to PC, and I do not know how to change the category.

I think, if it is at all like the Kindle Fire, the micro usb has week solder joints on the sides. You will need to remove the mother board and reattach/solder the usb back to the motherboard

SOURCE: Gateway laptop AC adapter not working

Fixable? Maybe
Sounds like a problem with the power jack on the Motherboard. If so, it is possible to remove the board and replace the jack but this requires soldering skills and is probably not something the average person would want to try.

You might try another adapter to be sure but if it is a motherboard problem the best solution is probably to junk it and buy a new laptop.

Sorry to hear that you are still having trouble. The only other thing to try is your battery on your buddies notebook. If it works there then it is the charging mechanism on your notebook and this would mean replacing the motherboard.

SOURCE: laptop will not charge. After wiggling the cord

That's a short in the power input section of the motherboard- I've found, much to my dismay, that the power input/charging circuit on these laptops is not a separate circuit board as it is on some other models, but is a small area of the motherboard itself. You'll either need to have someone repair the motherboard or replace it entirely.

If lenovo tab 10 does not charge what is the problem.

Are you using the official factory charger? Tablets need more juice than phones, so sometimes a phone charger can't keep up. Otherwise, try not using while charging, see if that works.
