Question about Cobra 5mp 4 In 1 Digital Camera CBD DVC910RED Electronics Observation

1 Answer

Sound quality There is little to no sound with videos. The only way you can hear anything is to put your ear right up next to the speaker, and even then it sounds like someone whispering through a fan.

The speakers on cameras are not designed to do anything much. If you want the sound properly you must transfer the videos to a PC or laptop and run them in a video application.

Testimonial: "I tried that with the same results. Even with the volume turned to max all we hear a fan and very faintly the voices."

In which case the sound on the video just is very faint - but why? Did you cover the mic with your finger whilst filming? On some cameras this is very easy to do. Another problem is simply that digital still cameras aren't really designed to catch sound, and if you are outside and the sound is faint and at any distance you won't record much. To record video you need a proper video camera which will have a forward-facing and much more sensitive mic. Horses for courses really.

speakers switched on or off in menu
sound turned way down on set or a box or even muted on either
internal/external speaker switch set wrong
if put ear to speaker and hear anything---audio circuit problem
See if sound there when a DVD etc. connected to a rear audio/video input--if that the set is not usually the trouble.

The Best Place to Put Your Surround Sound Speakers

If you can’t feel the vibrations everywhere—in your cheeks, ears, toes—you’re not getting the most from your surround sound system. One easy way to improve surround sound quality is to focus on speaker placement. Crutchfieldadvisor.com has a detailed tutorial, offering such tips as:
  • Place your center channel speaker directly above your TV—centered if possible. Align the front edge with the front edge of your TV screen to reduce distortion caused by sound reflecting and diffracting off the TV’s cabinet.
  • Position your front left and right speakers in front, and at equidistant points to the left and right, of your primary listening spot. Your front speakers should be at a 22°–30° angle with respect to your television.
  • The tweeters should be at ear level when you’re seated.
  • Position surround sound speakers so that they’re ear-level when you’re standing.

Cant get sound from my Viore LCD24VF65 TV

first things to check in menu"

In audio or setup are speakers switched on or off?

If you put your ear right up to speaker do you hear anything--even a faint buzz?

If using a box for signal some offer a mute (not likely the trouble but check it.)

If no to all the above you have a audio circuit problem which would require having a tech open set and look it over.

I have a new sony home theater w wireless rear speakers, the sound is not acceptable. I have fooled with speaker settings for hours...the surround sound is loud and good, but i cannot hear or understand...

Hi, With all due respect, there is not a lot you can do appart from return the unit. This all in one units are pretty horrid quality wise. There is very little control over the eq and balance of the system. I'm sure you can turn the centre level up, but I guarentee you, it will still sound muffled because they are only little cheap plastic boxes that are made in bulk cheaply and they make thee money by slappiny the Sony name badge on it. Sorry, not a fan.
You should always try before you buy. No one has your ears, only you. Therefore only you know what sounds right to you.

People can hear me speak but I can't hear them

Sound inducers do go bad. Normal the same audio amplifier is used for both the ear piece and the speaker. Since the speak does work, it sounds like the ear piece has died.

No sound

Check first if theres a speaker cutoff in the menu of the set or the back of the set. Next see if theres a headphone jack and plug in a set of phones to see if you get sound. If you do a connection on the jack is bad. if you put youe ear right next to the speaker and hear a little background noise or a little sound then its probably in the volume control curcuit. if you hear nothing at all its the audio output IC or the speaker itself is defective. Good Luck
