Hi,
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

Connecting Cisco 851 cable to virgin media super hub Problem

are you using the cable modem as your router? if so then simply hard code your media hub to a static ip address in the same range that the router/modem communicates on. (private address side)

2 ios present on router

Hi Ian,

Current flash has the capacity to store multiple IOS files. You shall keep different versions of IOS into the flash and using boot var you shall configure the router to boot from specific IOS version Something like dual boot OS in your Laptop. You shall use Cisco IOS 15.3 (M,T,ST) for your CCNP Security certification preparation. For furhter details regarding IOS selection you shall use cisco ios selector tool share in link section. http://cfn.cloudapps.cisco.com/ITDIT/CFN/jsp/index.jsp

Virgin superhub (netgear) router

The purple lit up thing badged Virgin media, it's a button as well as the indicator by colour.

I used to have the same problem and installed a wireless access point that professionals use in schools and factories. You couple to the saucer shaped thing with cable and it does Wi-Fi cable free for miles. I can follow the signal more than 20 houses away.

Virgin media superhub has stoped streaming - cant locate Mezzmo server

I had similar problems when I moved to the SuperHub - my TV could stream from my PC via my old Router but couldn't connect when using the SuperHub.
At first I thought (and was incorrectly told on here) that the SuperHub doesn't support DLNA, but what it turned out to be was that when attached via the SuperHub the TV was allocated a different IP address and my Firewall (ZoneAlarm) automatically blocked it (which I only realised from looking at the firewall logs).
For some reason ZoneAlarm had automatically allowed the TV through when I originally connected it to the old Router with no setup needed from me, but it had automatically blocked it when I connected it to the SuperHub. Adding the TV IP address to the ZoneAlarm "Trusted Zone" sorted it out.
Although this may not be your problem, and I was using TVMOBiLi rather than Mezzmo, it might be worth looking at your Firewall etc., because I incorrectly assumed it was down to the SuperHub because that was the only "new" thing in the previously working DLNA system.

Connecting to virgin cable modem

Hey, connect a network (straight through cable) from the blue socket on the modem to the WAN socket on your router (This socket will be split away from the other 4 on the router), then turn on your router 1st then modem.

Good Luck.
