It could be your uPS given the problem the mosfet might be spoil... as the temperture is high because of the transformer is not given the clean current to bypass the systems and the there not much air filter out from the ups depend on the condition of the room might be too warm.. there a higher chance was the mainboard problem well u check the sensor lst and also try to unplug and plug bk to restart the sensor... if it will not slove the problem check with the vendor to come down and check..

How to reset configuration error of the UPS 9390?

This error can only be cleared by the Eaton technician with their laptops. If this is a new unit it HAS to be factory started or your warranty will be void.

Message comes up on restarting reads configuration error. What is the cause and possible solution?

There is alot of possibilities on this on. Most likely it is in your input or output. You may have a 208V or a 480V input but your UPS may be programed for 240 or another voltage. I have the manual and all the knowledge you need. Email me at

I had an alarm on 9390 which read : "Battery Test Fail". What would possibly cause it and how would I best prevent it from reoccuring.

This error indicates that the battery packs are no longer able to supply the expected run time or load capacity that the UPS needs. The batteries will need to be replaced.

I WOULD LIKE TO BUY A NEWPowerware 9330-40kva UPS UNIT, COPLETE WITH BATTERIES .how much would that cost?

It's unlikely that you will be able to get a new one. The 9330 was discontinued many years ago though Eaton continues to service these models and provide replacement parts/batteries. I suggest that you call 800-356-5794 to see if Eaton has a partner that has any complete systems still in stock or in service inventory. The new UPS units are the 9355 and the 9390: and These new units are more compact, are more energy efficient and incorporate more advanced technology for monitoring and communication.

No Power Up

The battery charger inside the UPS is faulty so check the transistors including the rectifier on the heat sink. Replace the faulty ones and your UPS will be good. I strongly suggest that you check all the transistors on the PC board just to make sure that the whole board is ok after replacing the transistors

No Power

You should measure AC voltage from the output of the transformer to the bridge rectifier, and after the rectifier you should see a DC voltage (you may also read some "ripple" AC voltage on the DC side as well). Check across each battery to see how many volts DC they are receiving (as they will all be in series connection ie one after the other). Batteries are the usual problem with faulty UPS's. You may have a problem battery or multiple problem batteries and they may need replacing.
