how to fix a corrupted memory card for ps2 (ffxii file)

i have an another problem. my memory card started to show unformatted device, format it ? i press yes, and it fails. what should i do to make it work

If this problem happens with the memory card when its in either slot 1 or slot 2

I suggest you clean the contacts of the memory card. 

 

If it just happens when you have in Slot 1 or Slot 2 only,

 Go to Radio Shack and get a Can of contact cleaner that has a Brush built into the Spray nozzle. 

1. Turn off the PS2 and disconnect the power cord.
2. Use a small screwdriver to press open the memory card slot. Do not use too much force, its delicate.
3. Push the Brush sprayer up into the memorycard slot and spray a little and brush away at the memory slot contacts.

if you do not have success with that, you must open the PS2 case, and Remove the Controler ports and clean up the whole controller port assembly.

the fact is your memory card is corrupted, same thing happens in flash disc which reads about a half full of MB but literally it has no data inside.

when i insert a need for speed dvd in my playstation 2 error message appears ' please insert a playstation or playstation format disc' my ps2 series is 30003

i was playing NCAA 2005 and my game froze, so i was forced to press reset. i restarted the game and it just shows a red information box with nothing in it. What do i do. I HAD ALOT OF DYNASTYS AND PLAYERS MADE!!!!!!!! NOT TO MENTION A SCHOOL TEAM!!!!!! if i don't put in the memory card the game will load up fine. and i can play it normally. But i cant save or load anything on my memory card!!!!!!!!!

Inside the memory slot of the ps2 you will see a series of gold metal bands. They each should be slightly bowed above the plastic to contact the memory card. Often one or two are flat and miss contact. Take off cover and gently using a needle lift up these bands slightly. This should fix problem.
