The print file detail may be multi-layered may be too much information in print job- your printer memory may not be adequate, you may be printing through a slow network, you may be printing through an older print server which is as slow as parallel port printing or you may be printing through your parallel port which is slow.

After a ps print job is sent and printed by the

There is probably nothing wrong with the printer, but it may not be be receiving all the dope it needs. Usually the printer needs a CR/LF signal at the end of the file to print. If it doesn't get that it will assume that it hasn't got all the file and will hang. This may be a setting in the application producing the file, or a setting on the printer itself (i.e needing either a full CR/LF signal or just one of these). Don't like the idea that it doesn't print its own test page though....

We have a spooling problem. The sharp mx-2300n just says "ripping" and 20% complete but won't move from there and print anything. Can cancel print job from Mac but won't stop anything at the printer end....

Go into the Job review mode and highlight the pending print job (note: it may be stuck in processing). You should then get the option to delete the job.

Make sure that the pending print job is also cleared from the network print queue. They can sit in the queue and be persistent on processing, even after you've cleared the copier. Clear the queue prior to deleting the job on the copier.

If this doesn't, disconnect the copier from your network and try the above steps again, then reboot the copier and reconnect it to your network.

If you're trying to print out Adobe-based web pages from the internet, this may be what's causing your copier to jam up. There's known coding anomalies with Adobe-embedded documents on web pages. Trying to directly print from the web page can stall or lock up the print process.

Try to power off your computer and printer and let it stay for 5 minutes. Then turn on your printer and computer to see if pending print jobs we're cancelled.

If the problem still there, you can kill the spool process running on your taskbar. Press control + alt +delete button to open the task bar and delete the process from the processes tab.

The processing/data light is flashing....what to do??

There is a job waiting to be processed. Need to check status monitor to see what is waiting. If it is not critical you can cancel the job from that same screen.

Because you have an i model copier it must be setup to print and scan also. Someone might have sent a job that could be processed for one reason or another. Look in the bottom right side of touch screen for status monitor and see what details it has.

Hope this helps
