Question about Epson Office Equipment & Supplies

DX7450 will not acknowledge new black cartridge

Hi there

My printer will not regognise the new black cartridge which I've put in. The cartridge is a genuine T0711. I have tried taking it out and putting back in, but the ink LED remains on and I keep getting an 'empty' alert (in German) for the black cartridge when I try to print. Any ideas.

Regards

Peter

My first thought would be that you purchased a defective cartridge. It happens sometimes. Return it to the retailer for exchange and they in turn will return it to their supplier. If the printer still thinks the cartridge is missing or empty, something has failed in the printer. You can decide what to do with the printer at that time.

Epson DX7450 won't recognise compatible cartridges

This is a common problem and is caused by faulty or missing chips onthe compatible cartridges. You will need to get them replaced otherwise the printer will not operate. Contact the vendor where you bought them from and ask for repalcements or a refund.

How do i replace ink cartridges DX7450

You ve not mentioned which model of printer you are using, but in almost every printer if you open the top cover ink cartridges stop at a convinient place where they can be replaced. Alternatively you can shut down your printer and then try. Hope it helps

Replacing cartridge

Try turning off printer at power point, leave 5 to 10 minutes and turn on again, if still not regognised, try new cartridge and if that works, take the one that didn't work back for exchange.
