My newworld newhome cooker's ignition does not work. Please could you tell me where the battery goes as I cannot find it.

The battery is in a case (plastic holder) left hand side right near the floor in the plinth, opening the oven door will make it easier to see. (Assuming I have the correct model)

Chef premier 091S16FE1 gas cooker. Igniter will not work in grill or oven. Switch tests ok. Need wiring diagram. Would like to know if there is a fuse in the system.

I dont have a diagram but most Chefs have a wiring diagram stuck behind the lower kickpanel or underneath the warming drawer ( if fitted) The Premier was a fairly basic unti when it came out. A lot of these had battery ignition. Look behind the kickpanel or under the warming drawer for a battery box. ( About the size of a matchbox) and has a 9volt radio battery.
I have not seen fuses in these ovens for over 10 years , so I would suggest that yours doesnt have one.

1990 plymouth colt, new alternator, still won,t charge. what tells alternator to charge battery?

Have you also had the battery checked? If the battery is bad, then it won't charge. All of the terminals need to be checked for corrosion. All wires must be secured properly. Check to see if the ground cable is properly attached to the frame of the vehicle.

Creda Capri Oven - Ignition

I downloaded the manual from http://www.manualsmania.com and here is the section on replacing the battery:
Use an alkaline AA battery. The battery holder is located in the plinth panel below the oven door.Open the oven door fully. Press the tag on the left hand side of the battery holder/cover and withdraw it just enough to get access to thebattery. Fit the new battery with the end marked "+" on the same side ofthe battery holder as the red lead. Replace the battery holder by pushingit firmly into the hole in the plinth.

Pilot not sparking , where is the pilot light

That all depends on the make and model of cooker.

On many models it's a single 1.5v AA battery and is somewhere under the lower front edge of the unit. If it's a cooker/range you can access it by pulling the cooker forward, tipping it back and supporting it. Built in ovens (and hobs) usually have mains-power and supply the igniter circuit via a transformer, but on the few built in ovens without mains power the battery is usually at the bottom of the unit close to the front. Depending on the design either the entire oven has to be partially withdrawn from the housing or there is often a removable air inlet panel or grille with the battery holder just behind.

Note that because of the location, the battery holder can be hard to find due to being encased in the inevitable gunge and muck which builds up in these areas, so you may want to allow extra time to clean most of this off.
