My central ac unit is blowing air that is cool but not cold

My central air conditioner is blowing air that is cool but not cold and there is a buzzing noise coming from near the main house electrical panel that happens every minute or so. The buzzing noise only happens when the ac unit in turned on and it buzzes in short bursts three times then the noise stops for about 1-2 minutes and does it again. Also there were some pretty bad storms that caused the power to go off and on again a short while before this happened.

We had a repairman come out to take a look and the capacitor was bad. That's what was causing the buzzing noise by the fuse box.

My central air unit comes on but it's not cool and

to me it sounds like filter are dirty, need to be cleaned or replaced, home systems, packaged or otherwise are hermetically sealed and should not need freon recharge. Always start with airflow and/or unit being set too low. An AC unit of any type will build ice if a) the filter is plugged up and can't move enough air, b) it has been run without the filter, clogging the coil, again, not moving enough air, c) setting an AC unit below 68 degrees F will almost ALWAYS cause icing, and d) running a standard AC when it's warm inside and cold outside (unless equipped for "low-ambient operation"). When in doubt, a bit of maintenance(thorough cleaning) by someone with AC skills can cure a b, common sense will cure c d.

Conia air conditioner reverse cycle - not blowing cold air; checked setting its correct.. it seems to blow cool air, but house is not cold. It was working fine last summer, not sure of problem.

If you feel cool air near blower, you have to service your unit completely. Because it's giving cool but not removing heat from room due to coil and air filter blocking. Helpful?

My air conditioner is on but not blowing cold air and buzzes

The compressor is not starting. The buzzing noise you hear is the compressor trying to start and then the thermal overload trips. When it cools it will try to start again. Could be a bad capacitor or the compressor is bad. These two units need to be tested to see which one is bad. A capacitor is inexpensive. If it's the compressor it will be cheaper to buy a new AC.

My AC unit wont blow the cold air.

if the ac outside is working, but not the furnace, means there is a control problem with the furnace, check wires in the furnace, make sure there is a blower wire plugged into the contact marked cool on the control panel of the furnace

Central air/heat pump not putting out cold air

I have some things for you to check. If you look at the outside unit the lines going into the house. Are they frozen? Have you had any yard work done, the reason I ask is they could have accidentally cut or pulled out the thermostat wires to the ac unit. Also, inside check for the same thing, frozen lines. Also, you may want to check the drain coming from the inside unit, it may be clogged.
