Try uninstalling the hardware and rebooting. Then move your adapter to another usb port. If it works you probably got a bad usb port. If it doesn't work you probably have a bad piece of hardware. Let me know

Are you telling us that you are using a Bluetooth adapter to try to connect your ASUS N50Vn laptop.to a wireless network??? For that you need a (wireless) network adapter (it plugs into an available USB port on your laptop. like the BT adapter), not a Bluetooth adapter.

Wireless use network adapter not recognized after restarting computer. It has to be unplugged and then plugged back it before it will work.

Hi,
The network adapter has to be re-detected for it to work. Make sure you plug your adapter out before you restart, and plug it back in after it has restarted.

I HAVE LOST MY INSTALLATION CD

The installation CD contains a driver of the adapter to run the device. If you lost the CD, you can let your computer find the driver online.

Connect your computer to the internet .Plug the USB device to your laptop. Go to device manager , look under network adapter , find Compact Wireless-G USB Network Adapter w/ SpeedBooster, right-click it, hit update driver, there will be a windows update pop-up page, so just hit search automatically.

The installation CD won't run and the adapter doesn't show up when it is plugged in

You may try plugging the adapter to another usb port. If it still not being detected you can plug it to another computer for isolation purpose. So you can verify if its a problem with your adapter or the usb ports on your computer.
Also check the device manager, You can follow the instructions below

Right click my computer
Go to properties
Click on hard ware and then click on device manager .
Look for network adapter and check if you see your adapter model number .
If you see other devices under network adapter , that maybe your adapter itself already. You just need to install the software for it to work.

You can try running the setup cd to another machine to check if its a problem with the cd or your cd drive.

Cheers,
KJ

My usb wireless-g speedbooster got eraise from my control panel do i need to put my c d back in

To check if the USB adapter is indeed uninstalled, go to Device Manager (right click My Computer, click Properties >> Hardware >> Device Manager). the USB adapter should show under Network Adapters (make sure the adapter is plugged in). Next, if the computer is Windows XP, go to Control Panel >> Network Connections. If Wireless Network Connections is showing, that means that you don't have to reinstall the adapter and it should still be working with no problems.

When I installed my Linksys WUSB54GSC Adapter my computer will not boot up. I have Windows Vista. The computer is new.

Disconnect the usb adapter and see if your computer still boots up. If it does, try connecting the adapter on another usb port and see what happens. If your PC will still not boot up using another usb port, try the adapter on a 2nd computer. If 2nd PC fails to boot up when the adapter is plugged in, most likely the adapter is faulty.

Belkin 802.11a/b/g usb adapter

It sounds like the plug on the USB wireless dongle is bad or the usb ports in your computer are having problems. My Toshiba notebook does the same thing with the two usb ports near the front of the computer but works fine from the two on the back. When you have a flash drive plugged into the USB do you frequently get the new hardware found message as if you had unplugged and replugged the drive? If you have a powered external USB hub try plugging that in first then when that is stable plugging the USB wireless dongle into the hub rather than the computer. If it is stable then the problem is on the power pin in the USB port of your computer. Good Luck

Wireless USB Adapter not wanting to open.

Hi This problem usually happens when the usb adapter as been plugged in before the software as been installed, try uninstalling the software restart your computer then reinstall your software, once finished close computer down plug adapter into usb port then re-start the computer hopefully this will work and you can configure the wireless settings via Netgear Network.
