that sounds more like a mechanical issue. You might want to call Lexmark at 1-800-LEXMARK about the problem. Hope your printer is still within warranty. Hope this helps.

That could be a hardware problem in the fax mechanism. I would strongly suggest you to contact Lexmark technical support for assistance.
