What is the old OS and the new OS of your computer? If you upgraded your system, there's a possibility that your Blyetooth device was not supported by your new OS.

Or, you might need to download a new driver that would support your new OS.

Byt if you are running the same OS, try to download the driver from the Internet and reinstall the Bluetooth driver.

Have a great day!

My bluetooth Device is not shown or discoverable.

Reinstall the driver. It might think it's installed correctly. If the suite is an application outside of the driver, then reinstall the suite also.

How do you solve a Bluetooth Dongle Problems?

Bluetooth wireless technology allows many devices to connect wirelessly to computers, keyboards, mice, speakers and even other computers. Most desktop computers come with Bluetooth pre-installed adapters, allowing many to purchase and install an external Bluetooth dongle adapter. These dongles are usually connected to an available USB port and automatically installs without much fuss, but there is the possibility of going wrong, because usually when people and computers interact. Fortunately, hiccups are usually quite easy to solve.

1. Unplug the dongle on the computer using the "Wizard Safely Remove Hardware". Look for an icon in the Windows taskbar that looks like a USB connector with a green circle and check mark next to it. Wait a few minutes, and then reinsert it. This will cause the drivers are loaded on your computer and your problem.

2. Restart the computer; make sure the dongle is working properly. Some drivers need to restart your computer before working properly.

3. Download and install the latest drivers for your Bluetooth dongle. Expand the Bluetooth Radios section "from the list that appears, right click on the Bluetooth adapter, and select" Update Driver ". Select" Search automatically for updated driver software. I need drivers for Windows Vista x64

take a look at:

http://www.anycom.com/produkte/bluetooth_it_pc_accessoires/anycom_usb_250_usb_adapter/?id=103&partno=CC3036&tab=support
or alternatively an MSI driver for their 'Star Key' bluetooth adapter, which works as well:
http://global.msi.com.tw/index.php?func=downloaddetail&type=driver&maincat_no=131&prod_no=100

Before you install this make sure to remove all traces of previous drivers that may be installed. This can be done via right clicking the device and selecting uninstall within Device Manager.
If prompted, select delete device drivers from the system.
When this is completed for each bluetooth service, reboot the computer and disconnect your computer from the internet - This is to ensure that on system restart Windows does not download and reinstall the device and services.
Now simply run the Star Key driver installation package, reboot and reconnect the internet connection. On startup Windows may want to install a generic device, allow it to do so.
Initially if all the previous drivers were removed completely, your Linksys adapter should now work flawlessly.

No System Tray Blue Tooth Icon

The GBU321 installation software that comes with the CD was the problem. Called their tech service who made me uninstall the BlueTooth Drivers that the CD and Windows 2000 installed first, and then "directly" download and install the BROADCOM drivers. The adapter works very well now. Thanks.
