Toshiba Satellite A665 S6067 laptop wont recognize my SeaGate FreeAgent Go 500 Gb. device

I had a similar problem and I had to "Delete Volume" when in DIsk Management. I then had a choice to "Create Simple Volume" which I did, and then a wizard created the correct partitions and assigned a drive letter to my external drive. Everything was them OK.

Seagate Freeagent goflex not detecting

It sounds like the drive is failing. So you will need data recovery services.

My 1Tb Seagate FreeAgent Go portable drive stopped being recognized. When plugged in the lights blink but I can't see it to recognize it.

Connect it to a different computer. If it still is not detected, then there is a hardware problem. Exercise the warranty to get it repaired/replaced.

I want to use my seagate freeagent with our server windows 2003. how can i do it. if i plug it, windows says usb device not recognized.

As administrator:
Click Start->Right click My Computer and choose 'Manage'
The Computer Management window will open.
Click on Disk Management and you should see the rive listed in the right-hand pane, without a drive letter assigned.
Right click on this drive and assign it a letter, like Q.
You'll now see drive Q (or whatever letter you picked) in the regular drive list.

Instruction manual for usb.2.0 160

You shouldn't need an instruction manual. Insert the USB plug into a USB port. Windows will recognize a new device. Then go to "My Computer". Find the USB drive, right-click on it and choose format. You probably want to format it as FAT32 if you are going to use this drive on multiple computers (for compatibility), otherwise format in NTFS.

Hope this helps - remember to rate :)

Computer not reading free agent pro

I suspect an IRQ conflict in this case. where one day things are workig fine and the next day they are not because the IRQ conflict has made it's self known.

if no IRQ conflict is present , I would suspect a dead drive , time to replace the ole girl. these things happen , touchy equipment , buggy driver sets , you name it , things will however improve.

and remember if it's not hebrew , it's a lie :-> shalom

Seagate external hard drive problem

Hello, Did you try to use this drive on another computer? Did you have the same problem? Did you try using a different cable? I would try these things first in order to determine if the problem is with the drive or with the computer. Good Luck! Dr. Know
