SOURCE: card error or camera error?

I am having the same issue with every CF card I put in the camera. But when I put the CF cards in other card readers, the pictures are able to be viewed. Not sure why the camera isn't recognizing the pics on the cards???

SOURCE: nikon D70 with brand new Sandik ultra11 2gb flash card error CHR

Go to the Nikon site and upgrade the firmware on your D70 to version 2.0.

Before doing that, try turning the camera off, wait a min, then back on. That sometimes clears the error. The D70 is having trouble reading the card(s) you're putting in. The upgrade fixes that.

SOURCE: Get error message CHA where number of exposures

1. Check to see that none of the pins in the card compartment of the camera are bent. 2. Format the card in the computer. Choose FAT..not FAT32 3. Format the card in the camera. This has worked for many users.

When I insert the new memory card in my finepix F45fd camera, all I get is CARD ERROR,this is a brand new 8 GB SDHC I bought today,I tried to format it but it is still the same. What am I doing...

The F45FD uses xD and SD cards. While SDHC cards will fit into the slot, they are electronically incompatible and will not work. SD cards top out at 2GB.

Work with a 1 GB card but shows Error message and card locked on new 8 GB card

The SD600 works with MMC and SD cards. Your new 8GB card is actually an SDHC card. While it fits into the slot, it is electronically incompatible. You need to use SD cards, 2GB and smaller.

I keep getting a memory card error for my Canon Powershot SX20. I tried a 4 and an 8 GB card and keep getting error message. Also made sure the lock was off. Any ideas? It's a brand new camera. Thanks.

Have you tried wiping your memory cards completely? The formatting may have gotten messed up somehow so the camera can't recognize them. I would also check the contacts on both the camera and the cards to make sure they are free of dust. It could also be a problem with the cards themselves, but I find it hard to believe that they would both fail simultaneously; just to make sure, buy a brand new SD card and see if that works (it doesn't have to be big, you can probably pick up a 1 GB card for less than $10). If all of that fails, there's a pretty good chance that your card reader is bad. Considering that your camera is brand new, you should have no trouble sending that in for a warranty repair.

We have a brand new camera with a brand new 32 gb memory card and when we try to use the camera we get the message "memory full".

The SDHC (32GB) card is not supported by that model. The IS-DV has 16MB internal memory and supports up to 1 GB SD card.

Return 32GB card ... very expensive...

Hope this helps!

Buy a 1GB card (or 2). The spec for the SD card format is going to 2GB but the Kodak C330 not compatible with 2 GB SD memory cards.

The camera doesn't accept new memory card put into the camera

Sorry that this answer is far too late to be of use to you, but it may help others searching for advice with the same fault. I only stumbled across your unanswered question by accident.

8GB is an SDHC card. Your camera was designed to use the earlier SD cards instead with a maximum 1GB capacity.
