Mg2440. What does error 5b00 indicate?

the 5b00 indicator seems to indicate that the page counter has exceeded it's lifetime. it appears that there is a built in expiry to these printers.

I have attached a link to a support site that shows how to clear the error http://www.en.rellenadodecartuchos.com/2014/05/how-to-get-rid-of-5b00-error-message-on-canon-printers.html

I gota old pc with new mothrbord ,640mb ram(128+512) and net protector .win xp sp1 when i start somtimes my pc freezes my hard disk is old help me

Well it is really kinda old so just get rid of some programs that you don't really need that much. If it is possible to get some more ram, like another 512mb then that will help.

Printer won't work with new computer

I don't understand why my approach worked, but it did. Having tried all of the reasonable and obvious things, I downloaded an update of the Canon toolbox, which has to do with scanner operations rather than printing. Still, once I did this, I was able to use the MF4100 laser printer with my new computer.

Canon BJ 200 InkJet Printer Problem

Hello Ruth:

Somewhere on this website should be my comments on your problem but I can't find them, so here's a repeat. Sounds like the print head is clogged. With power on, press the Online and Print Mode buttons simultaneously until the lights to the left of the Online button blink. Normally, this takes a few seconds. This is the recommended cleaning procedure for this printer head. If no success, repeat this a few times. If no success, replace your ink cartridge with a Canon BC-02 black ink cartridge (if not already using this) and use the above cleaning procedure before trying to print. If unsuccessful, try a printer repairman.

Video RAM

The video RAM is built in, and cannot be changed. Upping the system RAM will help improve the video RAM performance quite a bit.

Vista driver for this machine comes stnadard with vista but will not work when old xp drivers are present (or were when upgraded to vista) , remove old driver from system, connect printer,  vista should auto reconise and install.
