I can't find a working sound driver for Windows 7 (Asus K8V-MX)

I can't find any working sound drivers for Windows 7 for my K8V-MX ASuS motherboard plz help

(A link would be AWESOME!!!)

Win 7 is new email motherboard manufacturer or find the chip on the board and search their site or email them with a request for a updated driver win 7 is still nonreleased so alot of stuff doesnt work right till the release micrsoft is not allowing a full working version cause ya know they got to get there 400 dollas out of every last one of us

Hello i have a k8v-mx motherboard and i have windows 7 installed, i dont seem to find working sound driver for that id apriciate if you coud help me, tahnk you in advance.

Your motherboard does not support Windows 7. You need SoundMax Audio Driver for Windows 7. If you do all the Windows updates it should find the audio driver. The link below shows the Asus website and the only operating systems it supports. Thanks for using FixYa

I have win 7 my motherboard is k8v mx; via k8m800 and i cant find the right driver for audio....

Hi there!
Your Asus K8V-MX motherboard uses SoundMax Audio driver.
If you check ASUSTeK's website, there is no compatible driver for Windows 7. I suggest you try downloading the driver compatible with Windows XP and run it in compatibility mode with WinXP. I can guarantee that it will work but let me know what happens after installing it.

I want sound drivers of Asus k8v-mx for windows 7

You won't get any,too old. You can go to realtek's site with your chipset number & see if they have a beta driver. Or you can buy an aftermarket sound card. Lastly, you can just install 7 & it should load a driver that works. Did it on an older Dell Dimention, worked fine with default drivers.

if asus.com drivers arnt working then the only other thing you can try is looking at the additinal updates in windows update sometimes there are driver updates in there.
